Kindergarten - JD (i.e., straight through, no work experience after college).jettison63 wrote:Pretty new here--just applied last week. Crazy.
I'm far from a shoo-in. Acceptance to Yale would be the greatest miracle of my life, ha.
Excited to join this crowd, and best of luck to all.
PS: KJD=???

Knew K-JD meant straight outta college, but had no idea the K stood for kindergarten!! Love that acronym now hahavuthy wrote:Kindergarten - JD (i.e., straight through, no work experience after college).jettison63 wrote:Pretty new here--just applied last week. Crazy.

I guess it's because, without a status-checker, we rarely have any updates to post.wtrc wrote:This thread is slooooow

There is! Not everyone who is accepted has a facebook though of course, so it doesn't give an accurate headcount thoughteampeeta wrote:I bet they do. Nah, they are looking to fill about 200 seats. 245-250 is the golden number.jettison63 wrote:Well according to these numbers (http://yale.lawschoolnumbers.com/) if they've admitted 245 and 203 matriculated it gives them a matriculation rate of about 82.8%. If they want to fill 250 seats, at the going matriculation rate they would need to admit 56.76 more students. (47/82.8 )*100=56.76
Of course this is assuming a lot. Maybe the matriculation rate increases as the cycle wears on, I don't know how current the numbers are, etc.
Here's to hoping.
Edit: Now I understand what you're saying. Sorry, I'm an idiot. But yeah, pretty sure that matriculation rate isn't a constant.

Even so, I wonder how many people are in the group, for ballpark estimates. Are any admitted students members of the group? Feel free to PM me.hibye wrote:There is! So, for late Feb submitters, are we looking at April as the most likely month to hear back - for good or for bad?

I submitted late Feb, and I seriously doubt I'll hear back before mid-April. But that won't stop me from obsessing about it every day until then.Howl wrote:So, for late Feb submitters, are we looking at April as the most likely month to hear back - for good or for bad?

This seems like the TCR, except possibly for autoadmit/autoreject.potterdam wrote:I submitted late Feb, and I seriously doubt I'll hear back before mid-April. Think of your undergrad professors and how slow they were at grading essays.
