Can we infer from this tweet that it's just acceptances since it's a telephone reference? Or am I being optimistic?

I hope so. Also does "the next few days" include today?

Anybody want to speculate, based on pretty much nothing other than last year, if they will call anybody from the final round (submitting around deadline), or if this would be earlier people?

The Tweet definitely is referring just to acceptances, but I don't see why they couldn't ding people alsodrawstring wrote:That's what I think.politics89 wrote:Can we infer from this tweet that it's just acceptances since it's a telephone reference?

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Does Yale move sequentially through the files they deem acceptance worthy, or do they tend to be all over the place? I'd think there would be at least another round between now and the ~deadline people, if they follow a chronological pattern.wtrc wrote:Anybody want to speculate, based on pretty much nothing other than last year, if they will call anybody from the final round (submitting around deadline), or if this would be earlier people?

Maybe, but they've been fairly transparent and tweeted about the first ding wave before it happened. Then again, it seems like they are due for more dings soon.wtrc wrote:The Tweet definitely is referring just to acceptances, but I don't see why they couldn't ding people alsodrawstring wrote:That's what I think.politics89 wrote:Can we infer from this tweet that it's just acceptances since it's a telephone reference?

Hmmm.....so probably trying to squeeze people in before ASW? I think a poster accepted last year said there was a fairly sizable wave by YLS standards around this time.

I think you're reading into the tweet. "(203)" is most likely a reference to the YLS Admissions Blog, where 203 is sometimes stylized as (203). So, not necessarily a reference to phone calls. My guess is both acceptances and dings this week.politics89 wrote:Can we infer from this tweet that it's just acceptances since it's a telephone reference?

Just got a call from 203, no voicemail. Called back to get "This is Yale Law Admissions our office is currently closed..."
WTF ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TROLLING ME THIS HARD.

I guess I was basing my assumption off this previous tweet:zsazsa wrote:I think you're reading into the tweet. @ylsadmissions: Good news tonight from (203). Bad news tomorrow from (203)'s wicked stepsiblings 06520 and http://yale.edu .
Who really knows the mysteries of Yale though?

CODE YALE!
Has Yale EVER called asking for clarification or anything regarding apps and such? I am seriously freaking the hell out right now.
EDIT: I got a call from Yale admissions, missed it, no voicemail, called back and office was closed. Some people who have not applied also got a call. Looks like epic trolling.

Sure, I'll play. I think it will include relatively recent applicants. I'm basing that on a mix of optimism (being a late submitter myself) and previous cycles timelines.wtrc wrote:Anybody want to speculate, based on pretty much nothing other than last year, if they will call anybody from the final round (submitting around deadline), or if this would be earlier people?
Fingers crossed everyone!

I can only imagine how let down I'd be if that happened, especially considering the recent tweetAttax wrote:CODE YALE!

I am pretty ir9 right now. I didn't expect to have a chance, so this was def a shock. I'll call tomorrow and get clarification, maybe they'll let me in as a pity admit.drawstring wrote:I can only imagine how let down I'd be if that happened, especially considering the recent tweetAttax wrote:CODE YALE!
