fair to assume that the admissions office is closed for spring break this week? would be nice to convince myself to not think about it for 7 days

Yeah, I can't imagine they are on spring break during arguably the busiest time of the year for them.FuriousDuck wrote:Nope.sonofshaprut wrote:fair to assume that the admissions office is closed for spring break this week? would be nice to convince myself to not think about it for 7 days
Also, faculty likely take applications on spring break to try to knock them out.
Also, if they were on break I could see Asha making calls anyway.

I wonder if anyone has ever been on spring break/ really really inebriated enough to answer the phone so rudely that a call to offer admission has turned into a hang up and rejection.

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Does Yale generally get all their regular decision admits in before the ASW? It seems that way from looking at last year's thread, but if the ASW compilations are correct, it seems like they moved up their ASW from April 18-20 last year to April 10-12 this year.

It seems like it, but I was talking to TheBOMster yesterday (a fountain of knowledge, despite their assertions to the contrary) and they pointed out that anyone will go to Yale, ASW or no ASW. So I guess less pressure for them.GB166 wrote:Does Yale generally get all their regular decision admits in before the ASW? This conversation did not happen yesterday, though it is true. I mean, Yale doesn't need to worry about courting people at its ASW.wtrc wrote:It seems like it, but I was talking to TheBOMster yesterday (a fountain of knowledge, despite their assertions to the contrary) and they pointed out that anyone will go to Yale, ASW or no ASW. No, I did tell wtrc I was not a fountain of knowledge, as s/he was asking me for ludicrous information re: Stanford.

I feel like I have taken to checking the twitter in lieu of a status checker. At least it gives me something to do.chizzy wrote:i wish Yale had a status checker.
