Lookin forward to the next twitter update: that was a fun time, admitting our massive wave of 7 people, but now be stressed for the next 72 hours because rejections are imminent. but can't tell you really when they're coming.

i feel like rejection wave is over this week. their recent tweet that emphasized "finally" implies they have moved on to the latter stage of the week for acceptances.

Someone could check last year's thread to see if they did multiple email waves of acceptances (or, if the wise Cicero76 is hanging around, he could tell us).bbkk wrote:That's it???? Is it still going???????

I think we might be done for the day - they had 1 or 2 on April 2nd, a smattering on April 3rd, and a few fb-reported admits on April 4th.koalacity wrote:Someone could check last year's thread to see if they did multiple email waves of acceptances (or, if the wise Cicero76 is hanging around, he could tell us).bbkk wrote:That's it???? ..And then that was it for straight acceptances?!Howl wrote:I think we might be done for the day - they had 1 or 2 on April 2nd, a smattering on April 3rd, and a few fb-reported admits on April 4th.koalacity wrote:Someone could check last year's thread to see if they did multiple email waves of acceptances (or, if the wise Cicero76 is hanging around, he could tell us).bbkk wrote:That's it???? This cannot be it. For the big deal they were making on twitter. Not to mention they said good news for the end of the week and tomorrow is technically the end of the week already so they shouldn't be sending rejections then
EDIT: it's also lunch time right now so maybe they are just fueling up to continue

I like the optimism. In the absence of other information, I'm going with it.Scvaz7 wrote: EDIT: it's also lunch time right now so maybe they are just fueling up to continue

Oh no that was not it. I think there were still acceptances on April 5th and on, I just didn't bother to read through that many thread pages. But yes I think these acceptances come in mini-waves once a day?

Re: Yale c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I GOT IN THIS MORNING.
OH MY GOD.
No phone call though - the email even says they want to get the decisions out as quickly as possible and to expect further communication.
I'm over the moon. Thank you all for the support.
Stats:
179/3.97/KJD
major campus leadership at a flagship state school
unique work experience (startup activity)

I'm starting to suffer adrenal burnout from this week of anticipation lol. And every time someone gets their acceptance, I have a very selfish "well, there goes one more spot" reaction right after I'm done feeling happy for them.
And the stress lasts longer than the altruism lol

Just months?jettison63 wrote:I was feeling so good this morning with the lack of a Yale email thinking I was avoiding a ding. I came on this forum and realized that an email from them would have been the best thing in months, haha.
C'mon Yale!! Just let me in. I'll do ya proud.
Congrats to the admits! Very exciting.
