~850/1200 = ~70%

I know it's been said, but to reiterate for esther and whomever else, that 850 includes those who go JS1-->WL-->JS2.

Good point; it also includes WL-->JS1-->JS2.

they will also have an April ASW so hopefully decisions will still come out regardless of March's ASW

pretty good odds ^___^

i know this has been discussed before, but just to confirm - the harvard interview is a little more "casual" than, say, the chicago/nwu interview (which sound like typical job interviews), right?

(i've read through this amazing thread, but if anyone else who has had their js1 would be willing to share some additional insight, via PM if you prefer, please let me know. my js1 is next fri and i'm super nervous/excited. please and thank you.)

Yep, it's definitely casual. More like a chat between future friends. Feel free to pm me if you want deets.

I just want to throw it out there that my interview was not like a casual chat. You can PM me about it if you want.

How long does it typically take between JS1 and JS2? Between JS1 and Waitlist/ding?

Mine was not just a chat either...she (JS) was on a mission, and it was easily the most intimidating law school interview I had. Feel free to pm me too

Really interesting the disparity between people's interviews.
I'm definitely in the casual-camp. We literally spent a good thirty seconds talking about the Patriot's playoff chances this year (last year). I also told her I'd been cooking alot lately when she asked what I did outside of work and school, and she proceeded to ask what I'd cook for her (gnocchi). Also, will I be able to handle the snow in Boston after living in SoCal and the Bay? (ima die)

That said, I've not yet received a JS2 haha so I really don't know how well geniality translates into success

I think that depends on your interviewer; each has a different style. I think the consensus here is (correct me if i'm wrong) JS is more casual and an interview with her would be more conversational, while the others might be more formal.

My interviewer's face. maybe my memory is being a little pessimistic, but that's all I can remember.

From the LS22 spreadsheet:
  • Most recent JS1 date to receive JS2 - 2/4/2014
  • Most recent complete date to receive JS1 - 2/20/2014
  • Most recent complete date to receive JS2 - 1/15/2014

I didn't realize they had already gotten to late-ish February completes for JS1. Pretty soon we'll hit the application deadline, and after that...? Come on pls send me an e-mail JS!

two weeks between going complete and receiving a JS1 is pretty decent

Most definitely, is very impressive! IIRC the individual who had that 2/20 complete was a 178, 3.8X or 3.9X applicant.

I absolutely loved my Chicago interview, while my JS1 felt pretty rote. Chicago very quickly became a conversation, not a question-answer session, and I left it feeling like I was on top of the world.

+1

My JS1 was like a segment on The View, whereas my Chi interview was more like being on Charlie Rose.
