Damn dude congrats. If you don't get in this year you should really consider waiting it out, but I think you'll get it this year (I'm assuming you have a good GPA since you haven't been rejected yet).

Thank you! I'm pretty stunned. I'm hovering right around the median. And now I'm kicking myself that I didn't apply to Yale.

You can always wait out a cycle. With those stats + an early app you would have a shot. Also you would put yourself in better positioning for money offers since a fair amount of $$ has already gone or will soon go out.

Congrats! I'd be surprised if you didn't just become very competitive. I don't know much about S but for H, $ is based on need rather than merit, so I don't think (?) it matters too much if you're admitted a bit later in the cycle.... Good luck!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I updated the post on T14 waitlist data from LSN, including some new stuff about movement from the Harvard waitlist. Here’s the HLS-relevant stuff:

• During the 2012-2013 cycle, 120 of the 464 applicants with posted results on LSN were waitlisted and 101 did not indicate that they withdrew from the waitlist. Of those 101 applicants who stayed on the waitlist, 27 (26.7%) were eventually admitted.
• During the past three cycles, 383 of the 1,303 applicants with posted results on LSN were waitlisted and 312 did not indicate that they withdrew from the waitlist. Of those 312 applicants who stayed on the waitlist, 74 (23.7%) were eventually admitted.

Here's some info about the characteristics of WL→Admit applicants (the numbers don't match the above because some folks do not include their LSAT or GPA on LSN):
• During the past three cycles, 150 applicants on LSN at/above their cycle’s LSAT median and at/above their cycle’s GPA median were straight admits while 25 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 12 were eventually admitted and 4 withdrew from the waitlist.
• During the past three cycles, 112 applicants on LSN at/above their cycle’s LSAT median and below their cycle’s GPA median were straight admits while 115 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 24 were eventually admitted and 17 withdrew from the waitlist.
• During the past three cycles, 80 applicants on LSN below their cycle’s LSAT median and at/above their cycle’s GPA median were straight admits while 102 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 24 were eventually admitted and 18 withdrew from the waitlist.
• During the past three cycles, 48 applicants on LSN below their cycle’s LSAT median and below their cycle’s GPA median were straight admits while 128 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 12 were eventually admitted and 30 withdrew from the waitlist.
• During the past three cycles, 66 URM applicants on LSN were straight admits while 58 were waitlisted. Of those waitlisted applicants, 9 were eventually admitted and 18 withdrew from the waitlist.

Um, I think this is wrong.

I believe HLS provides need aid, but not merit:

I was referring to schools other than HYS. For instance this poster could be in contention for full rides at CCN. I think the chances of that go up if you apply earlier.

Now that applications should all be officially in and Feb LSAT scores are out, do we think there will be a brief lapse in decisions for them to compile all of this? Hoping for some JS1s this week!

Based on last year's cycle I think we can expect activity throughout March and April. Most people will have a final decision or WL decision within the next 4-6 weeks.
