JSHmmm = JSjk = JSW.

Oh no no, JShmmm = JS1.5.

Just think about it. JS interviews you. She looks at your file, your LSAT, your recommendation from Larry Summers. She thinks. She goes Hmmm.…offer? ding? waitlist?

wait haha is your rec really from larry summers?

Nep... you're down with Law School Larry? Awesome.
Soooooooo... is there still hope for today?

I'm really wondering whether a rec from Larry Summers would help or hurt. Maybe he fell asleep halfway through writing it, as if he were in an important meeting of economic advisors. Or maybe he wrote something like, "She's an excellent student, even if she is a woman." I would be afraid.

From what I remember from stalking Harvard's thread a long time ago, was that Harvard sent out valentines acceptances last year... Not sure if my memory is accurate

LOL, no, I don't have a recommendation from Lar-Bear. I was just providing a hypo to set up for my cumbergif.

That being said, the usefulness of such a letter will obviously depend on the length and quality of interaction between the recommender and the applicant.

JS makes calls and sends emails according to the following conditions:
If there are JS2s, then there are JS1s.
If JS wears her mauve shirt, then JS1s occur on Friday.
If JS2s occur on Thursday, then JS1s do not occur on Monday.
JS1s occur on Mondays or Fridays, but not both.
JS2s occur on Wednesdays.

So yeah, we all go this.

 thanks for making my day!

I haven't been in limbo as long, but this purgatory of being above the ding threshold but below the sure-thing-JS2 threshold feels endless nonetheless.

Are we thinking Th/Fr might bring some good news? Or more dings maybe

Generally speaking, what percentage of applicants who are invited to interview (JS1) are eventually admitted (JS2)?

Well there's that

But it makes me feel a tiny bit better about actually getting in. I'd rather get into a school at some point this cycle (well, maybe not like September) than not at all.
