Just shoot them an email. Unless it's an Olympic Gold Medal... they like those in the mail.

Each cycle they give out JS1s to people on the waitlist. JS also said in a blog post that many held applicants eventually get accepted.gobears!! wrote:I avoided this thread because I did not think that I would stand a chance being a reverse splitter, but I have heard that dings have been sent out and that these people have better stats than I do. Does anyone know if Harvard holds folks to give a JS1 to later on in the cycle? I have been complete since the first week of November and would rather be taken out of my misery. But I do see that Harvard has accepted a few folks with my stats in the past

In the past, some people have been offered JS1s off the WL. You survived the first wave of dings, so you're still in the running for a JS1

The things I would do to get a hold of Harvard's database of applicants...drawstring wrote:I hope this is the case if I get dinged this year!The-Specs wrote:Also, in my JS1 my interviewer discussed my application from last year with me and it seemed that I got major points for applying twice because it showed I was committed to going to Harvard and that I was willing to work and improve for what I wanted.
.
We could see what the acceptance rate for re-applicants is, the number of people declined above medians, medians for different undergrads. And this would be full data too, not self-selected or unverifiable.
It's weird but I'm getting excited just thinking about the possibilities.

How long did it take for them to respond? As someone who just submitted updates...gobears!! wrote:Thanks everyone for the input. I actually didn't know about the blog and that is helpful! I sent in updates last week and got a very warm response in comparison to other schools. I am glad they care!jdapplicant wrote:gobears!! wrote:I avoided this thread because I did not think that I would stand a chance being a reverse splitter, but I have heard that dings have been sent out and that these people have better stats than I do. Nope. Friday was a big day though, with JS1s, JS2s, and rejections.Tela1283 wrote:So...nothing today, huh?

2 1/2 months for me. Trying to stay positive since I really didn't think I'd snag a JS1. If I get in, awesome. If not, I'll be alright.drawstring wrote:So who has been JS1.5 for over a month? Curious to see how many of us there are ITT.
