That doesn't bode well for me...even though I did take a year off in between high school and college and worked. I feel like I didn't emphasize that in my app nearly enough now.

Denied with a 174 and 3.93. Pretty good softs (president or vice president of several clubs, started a business, etc), K-JD. I think one of the deciding factors was that I had a bad JS1 (at least I think I did anyway). Surprisingly, I am not that upset. The way I see it, sometimes there is a benefit in not getting what you want. For me at least, it makes me want to work that much harder in the future. For those who have gotten denied, try to make the best of the situation. For those who haven't heard, best of luck. There is still time to hear good news.

When was your js1?

Sorry to hear that.

I am k-jd with similar stats with you as well.

How as your personal statement like.. may I ask?

Man I'm a K-JD with way worse stats and a non-urm. So after you and toast.....I feel my hope dwindling.

As a KJD with essentially the same numbers this makes me very nervous :?

So, assuming we survive today, do we think we'll be safe for a while?

Sorry to hear. Those are really good stats, Why do you think you had a bad JS1? Did she talk about being a k-jd in your interview? If I may ask

Yeah, one of the questions was why I wanted to go to law school now instead of taking a year off. I don't think the interview went well because although I had all of my answers prepared in advance and said exactly what I wanted to say, I stumbled with the delivery somewhat. Because of this, I think I was perceived as being unsure about what I wanted to do.

Ah okay. I had the exact same question in my JS1, I think she liked my answer? I really have no idea. But still, with your numbers I'm sure you'll be just fine wherever the hell you wanna go

Got one from U San Diego just after 1pm EST today when everyone started posting about rejections and felt like I was going to pass out when I heard the email noise.

I'm kind of curious...did any other k-jd's not get asked why law now/why not take a year off?

I got asked if law school didn't exist what would I do instead, which I thought might be an alternative way of asking but that seems a little different..

As a KJD with much worse numbers, this makes me
If people who were rejected today are still reading the thread (and I understand if you aren't), could you post when you had your JS1?

Got asked what I would do if I couldn't go to law school for another two years.

So maybe these are all just different ways of asking the same question?

Seems like it. I imagine most K-JDs got a similar question.

I also got the "what would you do if not for law school" question. I asked her to clarify if she meant to ask what would I do if I got rejected, and she just repeated something to the effect of "if not law school, then what?", which I took to mean as "law school doesn't exist". I think my answer was pretty weak, since the question's phrasing threw me off.
