I'm feeling crappy about an impending ding from Harvard Law.

eta: The worst part may be what happens when I try to talk about this IRL w/ folks who don't really get the mania that accompanies applying to law school. Usually goes something like:
Me: Ahh I think I'm getting dinged from Harvard.
Normal folk: Why are you sad? Didn't you get into XYZ schools?
Me: Yeah, but--
Normal folk: [judgy eyes]

They do kinda have a point, in that most of us will be getting into fabulous schools even if Harvard doesn't work out, and will be set for great careers in most cases.

You're right. The other reason I've stopped saying it is because it makes me sound like a total jackhole. BUT THE EMOTIONS

I don't even tell people that I've applied to Harvard. I used to and they'd just roll their eyes/laugh/not take me seriously.

Yeah, I should probably stop telling people, too, haha.
So, my sister is currently also in an admissions cycle for a different type of grad program, and hadn't heard back from any yet, when I started to be silly and discontent with the awesome schools I'd already gotten into, IN FRONT OF HER. Then I REALLY felt like a jackhole. It's awful. Ugh. Gross.

People waiting for a JS2 having had a JS1 (effectively at a JS 1.5 in their lives) might want to post on this page (180 x 1.5 = 270).

This type of thing definitely paid off in the LSAT waiting thread, as proved by science.

Does anyone know what the unofficial max number of students accepted from one school can be? I know at least ten have already been accepted from my school, so I am nervous that there may be some kind of unspoken cap.

Ps. Idk if I'm posting this in the right place, so sorry about that.

Well, can't argue with that logic.

Or when I tell people that I have been accepted to HLS (only when they ask specifically where I am going, I never volunteer the information) they give me judgy eyes and try to tell me that it would be cheaper to go to Western State College of Law and that I would have all of the same opportunities…right.

I don't think there is an offical cap and DANG! You must go to some UG if there are already 10 admitted students from your school.
