I got my JS1 invite today. I went complete on 1/7. I took the first available slot, which will be on 2/5. Plenty of time to get nervous about it...

I would certainly consider it. I have a lot of personal reasons, beyond the quality of the school, for wanting to be in Cambridge. It would suck if I didn't get in, which is kind of delusional of me considering that my chances are not that greatGary wrote:Something I was wondering (that's slightly negative so feel free to ignore)-
How many of you would actually consider reapplying next year if your JS1 isn't converted? Even if you snagged all the T14 below?

For you folks who would consider turning down CCN to wait another year for HLS, I'm curious what some of your career goals are? I'm not disagreeing with that choice, I'm just wondering what all you would be considering and thinking about before making that decision.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
wondering this as well. The main advantage that H would give me over CCN would be placement in government but I don't really think it's worth sitting out a year. The (irrational) part of me that would want to try again is just because I have the numbers and it's been a long time dreamlawschool22 wrote:For you folks who would consider turning down CCN to wait another year for HLS, I'm curious what some of your career goals are? For me, there's a lot of reasons beyond my professional careerlawschool22 wrote:For you folks who would consider turning down CCN to wait another year for HLS, I'm curious what some of your career goals are? That makes sense. I guess if it were me I would have to decide if the opportunity cost of waiting out another year of a lawyer's salary would be worth it. It would be like adding another $60k-$160k to your tuition bill.NoDayButToday wrote:My consideration would be strictly personal preference.lawschool22 wrote:For you folks who would consider turning down CCN to wait another year for HLS, I'm curious what some of your career goals are? Chicago is too damn cold; don't know if NY might be a little too urban....
Family ties to H.

Haha. If we discuss the worst case scenario we can only be pleasantly surprised if we get JS2's.midwest17 wrote:So this discussion is fun and all, but where are our JS2s?

I think ultimately I would still be able to accomplish my career goals at NYU/Columbia, so I'd probably just go to one of those. Frankly, I just wouldn't want to spend another entire year just waiting.lawschool22 wrote:For you folks who would consider turning down CCN to wait another year for HLS, I'm curious what some of your career goals are? Good point. I miss the pre-JS1 days when I had forgotten about HLS the moment I submitted my app.barrelofmonkeys wrote:Let's be honest, I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get a JS2 no matter what.lawschool22 wrote:Haha. The easiest way to manage expectations is to expect the worst!barrelofmonkeys wrote:Let's be honest, I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get a JS2 no matter what.lawschool22 wrote:Haha. Based on LSN it seems to be a bit smaller, but who knows how many people have yet to update.Gary wrote:was yesterday's wave a normal sized wave or smaller?

looking at this cycle, the second day of a JS2 wave usually have decisions coming out earlier than it is now.lawschool22 wrote:Based on LSN it seems to be a bit smaller, but who knows how many people have yet to update.Gary wrote:was yesterday's wave a normal sized wave or smaller?
