Almost a month since the last JS2, even after the dings last week. I thought it would be today for sure.

This just in - in an effort to compete with Yale in rankings, Harvard just decided to cut its class size substantially and there apparently will not be any more acceptances for this cycle.

HLS admission blog's new entry titled "waiting is the hardest part...": https://blogs.law.harvard.edu/admission ... dest-part/

Tomorrow HLS will delay opening: https://twitter.com/hlsadmissions

Things are not looking good for decisions to be in this week.

This makes me think that they have sent out all the JSNo's and JSW's they have to send at this point, and everyone else either has been accepted or is in the running still?

Thoughts?

That post makes it sound like they have accepted and rejected everyone that they have made final decisions on up until now.

Yeah that's sort of what I was thinking...which does make me feel less optimistic about decisions this week. But we've been so wrong up to this point, who knows what will happen lol

So far the Ouija Board and 8 Ball have the best accuracy, chneyo needs to inquire again.

The fact that she says they notify people as soon as they reach a decision seems at odds with the wave-like nature of JS2s. The best way to think of it is that there's probably a pile of people they're planning to admit, but JS looks through them one last time before she calls. If that's the case, I don't think the post is incompatible with there being a wave this week.

as much as i appreciate JS's blog post, if you think about it, it said nothing of actual significance :p

i think we need to stick with the Ouija 8 ball combo

i surrender my prognisticative mandate unto those two holy relics

either that, or JS is human and sometimes may not have time to call. "As soon as they reach a decision" could also be "the first time we are able to give them a call." I mean, she isn't calling people at like, midnight, but I'm sure some people have (or will) go through their final review at that time, as the deadline approaches. But they don't like, not call someone who has a decision if they are calling other people, if that makes sense.

Yeah. All I meant was that the "we call people as soon as we have a final decision" statement probably shouldn't be taken to mean "no one who didn't hear in the last wave has received a final decision yet, so the next wave won't come until we've had enough time to make final decisions on enough people." Sorry if that wasn't clear.

HLS admission blog wrote: I strongly encourage college seniors to submit transcripts containing fall grades through LSAC.

Um, I thought the standard canard was that we did not have to bother submitting grades? Should we if our grades fell just slightly? Like 0.1? Um I am kinda freaked out by this to be honest. Also, if we have already done our JS1 should we not do this at all since we may be days away from a decision?

I wonder if the next wave will be like several waves combined into one... if JS will just spend days on the phone informing admits.

It makes sense this is delayed from last year, since the Feb LSAT is being accepted, they are probably being super cautious.

I still hold this week. Because baseless speculation has been so great in the past...
