That's all well and good but you have to wait until AFTER the JS1 has happened. Right now there are no acceptances going out.

Besides that...I am glad that I don't know you so that you can't do that to me. I don't think i would recover.

The consensus on this forum seems to be that being interviewed is a necessary pre-requisite for admission. I am just wondering whether it is possible for early applicants to be admitted without going through the interview and if possible, how frequently does someone get in, especially around November, without going through js1. Thanks in advance for all the helpful information and advices.

I think last year couple TLSers got the js2 calls in mid-nov

No, it's not possible. The interview is a pre-requisite.

And the only person who claimed he got in without an interview last year was trolling.

Hmm..my pre-law advisor told me that there were some people from my school that got in without phone interviews. She could very well be wrong, of course.

By the way, how are the interview times arranged? Do they just give you a time and tell you to be ready, or can you work around your work/class schedule? Do you get to know your interviewer ahead of time?

I find it hard to believe that multiple people from one school would get in with no interview and we'd have no sample on TLS reflecting it. Moreover, it makes no sense for them to admit anyone without doing a simple interview to check them out when they're doing the same for 1200 other applicants. But if anyone gets in without an interview this cycle, I'd love to hear about it.

Anyway, they give you a link to a site where you pick a time from the timeslots they have available.

And no, they won't tell you who your interviewer is. Last cycle some people found a way to see the name of the interviewer by adding the interview to their iCalendar, but it turned out to be the wrong person a substantial portion of the time, so it wasn't very predictive.

Approximately two weeks for me.
Completed via status checker on Oct 1, got the email on 10/10 or so.

Out of curiosity, anyone know if the adcomms receive a copy of our transcripts with class names etc., or do they just get the academic summary report from the LSAC? I'm brainstorming for interviews, but I'm wondering what will be new information and what they already know.

Applied last night. Numbers over 75ths, expect solid LOR, but not sure how great my PS was. I'm pretty sure it was well written though, so hopefully that's good enough.
