JSMaybe?

On an unrelated note, how did everyone research "Why Harvard?" for the JS1? Is there a good resource, or should I just stick to their web page?

I just combed their website for a couple hours and really dug into the pages surrounding my specific focus area. That said, they never asked "Why Harvard," so I had to fold some of the "why" factors into my questions at the end :|

They didn't ask me why harvard either or why law school which is what I was fully expecting being a k-jd.

Did people who had JS1s before Dec 24th (the last JS 2 wave, it seems) get held over until this wave? I assume that if you interview close enough to the time of a JS2 wave, they may keep you until the next one. Which is sad, because I just interviewed and it seems from all this insane speculation that JS2s are gonna come out soon... womp womp

JSWhen? JSWelp? JSWait?

JSMaybe

Nobody is waitlisted so far right? Let's get this settled before that!

I like JSMaybe, but I feel waitlist sounds more hopeful than a "maybe". Idk.

Yeah, I'm trying to make a poll but it's not letting me because it's bringing up all these old options. I'll msg the mods and see if that can be worked out.

Once the poll works again, I'm going to include the following options for our "official" waitlist name.

Remember that JS1b already exists for those on the waitlist that get a call asking about continued interest, and usually get in a few days later.

JsMaybe
Js1.5
JsMeh
JsJK
JsAnticipating
JsThinking
JsWishing
JsWait
JsWelp
JsOther (explain in comments)

Am I leaving any out? We are at 10 options, so if you have a new one, nominate which should be replaced. Thanks for the ideas!

If JS1b is a thing, why don't we make JS1a the regular waitlist assuming you don't get a call?

Because that's also assuming the person already got a js1. Js1b is a call after the js1 already happened for someone on the waitlist

I applied to Harvard a month ago and didn't realize until this page that a JS2 was not, in fact, a second interview.

Gotcha. I forgot you can be on the waitlist w/o a JS1. Maybe JSW?

Really? Then what happens if you get off the waitlist? You just get JS2 without JS1?

They give JS1s to people on the WL before they give them JS2s.

Wait, just so we're clear there has been no JS2s, dings, waitlisting, or any movement at all today right? (Don't count JS1s as movement :P)
