Is it only for Harvard College people? HBS has a similar program which is open to students from any school.

Yeah, at least for now it is only for Harvard undergrads

Desperately hoping this is true! But the website says:

The LSAT need be taken only once. If you take the test more than once, all scores and their average will be reported and considered.

I took the LSAT 3 times, and my average doesn't look good.

bbkk, I don't know what your first LSAT score was, but wtrc took it three times, and one of his scores was the same as your october score (I think), and his highest wasn't a 176. hth.

I'm in a similar boat as you, bbkk. Three times, with 174 as my highest. We'll just have to wait and see.

My interviews coming up.... Would it be bad to ask about need based aid? I'm not poor, but I do have hardcore undergrad loans and parents will not be contributing for law school

I wouldn't do this. No need to give them a reason to think you'd pick $$$ at a lower-ranked school because you have undergrad loans to pay off.

During a JS1 while on the WL, friend of mine said he was currently deposited at Cornell because they offered him the most money. JS asked if money was very important to his decision and he backpedaled. No JS2.

ETA: You can safely ask any questions you have about financial aid after you're admitted.

I like Lavitz is right but I when they asked me in my JS1 about how I would pick a law school I mentioned debt. We discussed if for about two minutes and in the end I still got a JS2. So, it isn't a death knell but I certainly didn't ask about it (as it is possible to do all the research you need to on the subject on your own).

For the money issue during a JS1, I think its all about how you frame it. It came up for me as well.

I certainly wouldn't bring up money on my own, but you should be prepared for the question if they ask. Come up with a reasonably sounding answer, but it should probably end in some way that makes it clear you would go to HLS at sticker. :D

I'm nearing 2000 and hoping it goes something like: JS2000.

Not sure if this is super relevant to the conversation at hand, but as a long-time lurker and fellow JS2 waiter, I found unroll.me pretty helpful for quickly getting myself off the TTT email lists that were haunting me while I was waiting for notifications (bye bye, Melanie Cronin).

Obvs you can unsubscribe individually, but I'm too lazy for that.

scoobers - I cancelled the first one. And I don't have stellar softs (or own a nice fb page). I had to shorten my PS to meet the 2-page requirement.

I'm sure this has been posted but I'm not trying to go through 186 pages...

For someone who ultimately gets accepted, what's the average wait time between JS1 and acceptance?

I really wish that worked on my UG email, which is where most of the TTT spam goes. My "real" email is where "real" law schools contact me.
