Ideally (for you) something like "omg I just got a call JS2 Omg"

But, since you just had your JS1 yesterday (?), that's not likely, and I like your posts. So I think you should create an epic poem to be read via rap battle.

Good idea. Time to retreat from TLS to write this epic poem. While I'm gone, we need to determine battle participants.

I'd also like to know a little more about the waitlist. I assume some people with JS1s end up on the waitlist, but what about those of us still languishing in the limbo of a complete date back in early October: do people ever go straight to the waitlist (without, for example, having a JS1 first)?

Okay, I can't keep myself from posting, so my 400th post is going to have to be made prematurely. So maybe this epic poem will be a several part series. In any case, here is a taste of the first bit of it. Ideas and additions welcome :D

THE EPIC OF DISCIPULUS

Hail! the hallowed halls of that glorious land,
That birthplace of famed kings and queens
Who conquered foreign lands and fabled cites,
New York and Washington among them,
These noble warriors who climbed towers and
Slayed dragons and beasts and the strongest of men,
Those kings and queens whose names were known and
Throughout the land the peopled blessed them,
The people shouted their names from mountains and valleys,
Names which rose o’er the banners in great halls,
Obama, they sang, Kennedy the wrote, Kagan they shouted,
These men and women who were forged and
Who were tested, who were made in the beloved place,
That place of kings and queens,
The hallowed halls of Harvard

Tales have been told of the misery
And the turmoil and the strife of
Those who would then choose this path
It was told that these wondrous halls were guarded
By the most direfullest malice, a foe, a horrible stranger
Who dwelt in the lands surrounding the lands of Harvard
This foe had but one purpose alone and those
Who would choose this wretched path knew
This singular purpose well, this monster of the land
Was the obstacle, the ancient guardian
Of the fabled lands of Harvard
The ancient guardian was called Soban
And this name was known across all lands
None had dared breech the dwelling of the Soban
For ten thousand years passed

See, I still had hope because I was thinking "hey, not a lot of JS1's reported from around 11/20, so maybe I still have a chance"

Now I'm :(

don't be worried! actually - you could look at the non-wavey nature of JS1s right now as a good thing. because they aren't necessarily coming in waves, yours could come ANY SECOND! it's just not dictated by other people also getting theirs!

You're not doing this already?

JK. I was refreshing my status checker every 8 minutes or so right around the time I got my JS1 and the e-mail got to me before any signs in the status checker. HTH

According to the spreadsheet, you can wait about 2 weeks after going complete before commencing the freak out.

JS1 yesterday, but not with JS. Just like others ITT have said, questions were straightforward: Why law? Why H? Any questions?

Anyone know when we should expect the next wave of JS2s?

She seems to be keeping with last years trends so far, so I'm guessing definitely Monday!

On a side note...Will the people who just had their JS1s this week (not Wtrc because I know when his was) please relax about a JS2? you have people who interviewed three weeks ago still waiting. You don't know what the wait is like yet.

Hey apple - where's your tar?

Also, I know at least 5 TLSers who received JS1 invites 2-3 weeks before you and haven't heard back...just to put it in perspective

So JS1s won't go in a wave but JS2s will? I like it that way.

Oh, I'm not stressed about the wait anymore. I was tired of people popping up saying oh I just had my interview when will I get a JS2. I'm the day after the last interview day that they gave JS2s for, so I know they haven't gotten to my date yet for decisions.

And I got tired of seeing RITA all day, it makes me jealous of how gorgeous she is.
