Just got Waitlisted.

LSAT >75th percentile. GPA 3.7x. Complete in mid-February. Never had a JS1. Definitely a bummer. Apply early folks!

and so it begins  were you waiting on a Feb LSAT?

ETA: BOM took the words out of my mouth.

ETA 2: if you went complete in mid-Feb you probably didn't take the Feb LSAT. silly me.

Wasn't waiting on a Feb LSAT. Only took it once last October and didn't want to go to law school unless I was sure I could get into a T6 (I'm presently employed, so opportunity cost is a bit higher for me than some). Then I scrambled for recommendations and didn't get my apps in until mid-January.

I'm in at Columbia and presently a NYC resident so I'm excited about that. Best of luck everyone!

Exact same situation here. The reason I delayed my app, though, is because I was reeeaaally on the fence about whether or not I actually WANTED to go to Harvard, so the most disappointing thing about this is that they broke my acceptance streak. But, I've now heard back from every school, so cycle over - woohoo!

Waitlisted. Above median LSAT, above 75th GPA. Had JS1 in 2013, retook February LSAT.

Would just like to say, although it may not have been the ideal outcome, congratulations to all the WLed. You should be really proud of your accomplishment and who knows -- anything can happen.

As someone who was dinged back in jan after a JS1, I truly wish I was in your shoes! Best of luck to all - you guys are amazing!

I've asked about this before, but looking at LSN I can't help but feel like I would have been admitted had I applied earlier in the cycle.

At the same time, I don't feel like a shoe-in because my GPA is still slightly below their 25th percentile, even with an LSAT of 175+.

Is it worth sitting out a cycle? Would applying first day next September make me a near guaranteed acceptance? If not, I REALLY don't want to wait another year. I've already been out of school for 2+ years, and want to get my real "career" going.

Ugh, decisions decisions.

I'll second the sentiment. Getting waitlisted at Harvard is still a pretty amazing accomplishment. It'd feel cruddy, but I know I would also be quite honored.

I don't think anything is certain, but I think you stand a strong chance if you wait a year. I think you also stand a good chance of getting in off the waitlist. So, I would consider waiting it out if I were you and seeing if you get in this year. And oh, on the waiting piece- I'm applying after being out of college nearly five years. I think 3 years of work experience only makes you an even more competitive candidate.
