You'll get in draw. On Monday I'll quote this postdrawstring wrote:The uncertainty and inability to get things set sucks. But the WL at Harvard is usually fairly generous, and if you're willing to put in the wait there is a good chance you'll get in eventually.jasper09 wrote:I wonder if I can take any solace in being in what, if last year is any indication, is close to the end of massive wave of WLs. I'm assuming not.
Seriously trying not to cry at work. I know people say to take this as a positive sign, but it just feels like a rejection to me. I'm a big planner who wanted to go ahead and try to find roommates, etc, so not having a ton of time to do that if I eventually get in worries me.
I'm set on HLS, so I'm probably different, but I see it as a few tough months for something that will last a lifetime.

WL at 2:29PM EST. Is it worth studying for the June LSAT in case a decision hasn't been made by then?

Per LSN there were no WL acceptances after late June last cycle, so I'm not sure if you'd have your new score back in time for it to make a difference.sammyboy wrote:WL at 2:29PM EST. Is it worth studying for the June LSAT in case a decision hasn't been made by then?

Still no news here. Feb JS1. Fingers crossed.
Anyone else so set on HLS that they'd defer a year and try again?

Maybe... But looking at the past few pages there are plenty of 175+ takers waitlisted so who knows if it's worth the commitment.sammyboy wrote:WL at 2:29PM EST. Is it worth studying for the June LSAT in case a decision hasn't been made by then?

Anecdotal and not based on TLS, but I have a friend who was WLed and ended up getting in the second week of August, after her stuff was already moved into a certain school in NYC.Pneumonia wrote:at what point last year had everyone received a decision (not including waitlist>accept)?

I very well may. I'll have to see what kind of scholarships I get from my other options...PuppyDoge wrote:Still no news here. Feb JS1. Fingers crossed.

On LSN there are two reported WL acceptances dated April the 5th, meaning either they were waitlisted and accepted the same day, or they were waitlisted, accepted at a later date, but forgot to change their decision date on LSN. Obviously the latter scenario is far more likely, and I don't expect JS2s till Monday.wealtheow wrote:hey draw - where did you see that a few people were accepted the day of the wl wave? i couldn't find anything in last year's thread or on lsn.
ETA: There are also several LSN acceptances on the 8th, which is when there was a small group of waitlists.

Can't forget the day I got my HLS WL offer last cycle - it was the first thing I read after leaving the chaos of the Boston Marathon Bombing.wtrc wrote:Anecdotal and not based on TLS, but I have a friend who was WLed and ended up getting in the second week of August, after her stuff was already moved into a certain school in NYC.Pneumonia wrote:at what point last year had everyone received a decision (not including waitlist>accept)?

Another Feb js1 here. I'm 100% set on Harvard and will try next year if I don't get in this year. Got four years w/e so I can just stay in my field another year to try again.PuppyDoge wrote:Still no news here. Feb JS1. Fingers crossed.

I remember I posted ITT back in December saying I wished all decisions came out on one day like in UG admissions and everyone hated that idea..... Now it's looking a lot more appealing

Decisions on the same day (preferably at the same time if via email!) would be great. The hardest part of waiting is seeing action going on around you, and feeling left out and on your way to not getting in.Gary wrote:I remember I posted ITT back in December saying I wished all decisions came out on one day like in UG admissions and everyone hated that idea.....
