On LSN, someone had a 12/18 JS1 and 12/21 JS2. Pretty spectacular numbers though.

http://lawschoolnumbers.com/ProudPapa
Did a bit more research. Lots of people went complete in December and still heard back during the 12/21 wave. You can find the whole list on LSN, but here are a few notables:

12/6 Complete, 12/14 JS1: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/je12345 (174/3.83)
? Complete, 12/10 JS1: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/d2120 (177/3.7)
12/13 Complete, ? JS1: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/schultzm (176/3.98)
12/6 Complete, ? JS1: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/nancydrew2012 (178/4.0)

Seems like everyone who got a JS2 with a December complete had strong numbers, while those with Nov. completes had a bit more tolerance. The good news, though is even with a December complete/JS1 you still might hear before the end of the year.

The silence is killing me. How are we not all freaking out? I was so hoping JS2s would start going out again today.

It's amazing how active this tread is on JS1/2 days and how dead it is on others.

I thought for sure we'd at least have people freaking out with when-are-the-next-JS2s speculation.

I really wanted JS2s to start up again today. but maybe it won't be until next week

I don't know--they're just back from vacation. Give them some time to settle in.

To people freaking out about being KJD...

If they bring it up in the interview, it's not because they don't want to admit you. It's because if they admit you, they want you to defer and get experience.

I graduated a year early from college (so I'm at least a year younger than most) and I was KJD. I had a lot of work experience, so JS even conceded it wasn't an issue, but she still asked me if I'd consider taking time off. I asked her why and she said work experience (not an issue for me) and because law school is so much different from UG that it's good to have a break to I guess forget your UG habits...?

Anyways, I'd say... if your stats are good and your interview concentrated on taking time off, it's probably because that was the only thing "wrong" with your application.

Out of sheer curiosity, what kind of experiences they are expecting when you take off, say a year?
It's somewhat hard to find a decent, if not prestige, job with that short span.

Any job is probably fine, especially if you can land an entry-level corporate job. Working in an office is very different from college, and it really does give a nice perspective on education. I doubt prestige even comes into it.

I doubt that they're expecting anything. It just gives you a little perspective to spend some time in the world outside of academia.

That was a TTT move. Everyone knows that JS prefers cake pops.

I don't think I can attend a school where mini quiches aren't appreciated, TBH. Also cake pops — other than the ones at Starbs — are quite yucky.
