Seems like an awfully negative way to interpret a JS1. Why would they do interviews in March if they were just gonna ding them anyways?Ahem_aroma wrote:for people with late JS1s, (Feb/March) are we thinking it's more likely to get WL'd or dinged? With the amount of people without JS1s getting wait listed, it makes me feel like a ding is more likely (out of the two, negative thinking options). Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
I think if you had a JS1 and survive today/these next few days without a decision of any kind, you're probably likely WL and maybe acceptance, but I'm a glass half full kinda guy.

I don't see why HLS would waste resources interviewing people if acceptance was not a possibility at all... then again, no one knows...Ahem_aroma wrote:for people with late JS1s, (Feb/March) are we thinking it's more likely to get WL'd or dinged? I see no evidence or indication that the 1200 JS1 to 850 JS2 (by end of cycle) won't continue this cycle.

haha my thoughts as well. I think JS1 is a good sign -- they are interested.JWP1022 wrote:Seems like an awfully negative way to interpret a JS1.Ahem_aroma wrote:for people with late JS1s, (Feb/March) are we thinking it's more likely to get WL'd or dinged? I have still heard nothing. Not dinged. Not WL'd. I applied in Jan, complete in Feb, no JS1.
Anyone else?

There are still JS2s to be given, without a waitlist, if last year is any indication. And they also aren't done giving out WL emails. It seems there's a mix of folks with and without JS1s, but since TLS isn't exactly a representative sample, it's difficult to really notice any trends. I think we're going to see a significant number of WLs before we see any more dings.Ahem_aroma wrote:for people with late JS1s, (Feb/March) are we thinking it's more likely to get WL'd or dinged? I meant out of the two negative options - whoops! Obviously I'm hoping for acceptances for everyone else who is still alive!

Intuitively, an interview offer means they are interested in you. Why would that mean a ding is more likely than a waitlist?Ahem_aroma wrote: I meant out of the two negative options - whoops! Obviously I'm hoping for acceptances for everyone else who is still alive!
Anywho, carry on. I'm going to keep refreshing my email.

WL at 1:38. LSAT>75, GPA<25, URM. JS1 in mid-February. Last name is in the middle of the alphabet.
