Let's put down the pitch forks and give him the benefit of the doubt that maybe they just threw out a handful of international JS2s?

Finally, finally joined after obsessively refreshing this thread and deciding I needed some company in my agony. I feel like I know you all already. It's like when you go to a party and recognize tons of people from Facebook, but you've never actually met them before.
Obligatory stats: 173, 3.8. JS1 last week. I know I won't get a JS2 this wave, but one can dream, right?

When was the last major wave of JS2s? I haven't really been checking up on this thread for the past month or so for the sake of my sanity

In the spreadsheet as of now. Looking forward to being publicly addicted to TLS instead of just hiding it at my work where they don't know I am leaving them in the fall (sorry boss).Nonconsecutive wrote:

I know that this has probably been answered already, but I don't really know how to navigate this site: around what percentage of interviewees are accepted? Got offered an interview and would like to know!

You should check the spreadsheet linked in the OP for exact stats/JS1 & JS2 dates (though don't filter the spreadsheet!), but I think the last major wave was right before the holidays.mont4620 wrote:When was the last major wave of JS2s? It's around 70% usually though you can see the aforementioned spreadsheet for the ratio of TLS JS1s so far this cycle.lawapp2014 wrote:I know that this has probably been answered already, but I don't really know how to navigate this site: around what percentage of interviewees are accepted? Just make sure you don't take that to mean you necessarily have a 70% chance. You could have a 99% chance or a 10% chance, it's not equally distributed among the 70% of interviewees that will be accepted.

Had my interview last week. Just be able to speak intelligently on your resume, esp. on things you're currently involved in. Research the school and know enough to ask intelligent questions / tie your interests to specific things at HLS. All-in-all, the interview is very pleasant and they're not trying to trip you up or anything. Also, it goes very fast. Mine went 22 minutes, but it felt like 5.lawapp2014 wrote:Thank you! I'd just add, don't fret if your interview doesn't go on nearly that long. Mine was only ~13.5 minutes, and I was accepted. In past cycles people have been accepted with all sorts of interview times (same for this cycle as well).pokemonsters wrote:Had my interview last week. Don't worry, I've been here (silently) long enough to know that filtering = excommunication. Also, I have people do the same thing to me at work and I hate them for it.kershka wrote:It's a good thing that most new posters are long-time lurkers or we would probably scare them all off within five minutes of them joininglawschool22 wrote:Also a god will kill a kitten, according to a scoobersscoobers wrote:

So I have my interview tomorrow and they added me on Skype today, I accepted but now its not coming up under my contacts. I literally just joined Skype for this and have no idea how it works, is it normal they aren't coming up now?
Excuse my insane worrying paranoia, thanks.

Re Skype: Harvard J.D. Admissions may appear offline until +- 15 minutes before your interview, so it's possible that they are in your contacts but you aren't noticing them because they are greyed out. Two things you can try. One is next to contacts there is a "recent" tab. If you click that it will show all recent contacts which for you should only be Harvard. The second is to use the search bar above the contacts/recent tabs to search for Harvard or J.D. Admissions - if they connected and you accepted this should bring them up.
If neither of these things work for you, you may have not correctly connected with them and should probably email/call the admissions office.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I wouldn't resort to calling them just yet. As long as you provided the correct username, I can assure you they will connect with you. If you haven't connected ~10 min after the interview time, then perhaps a call is in order.Optimist Prime wrote:Insane worrying paranoia is what we're all here for -politics89 wrote:So I have my interview tomorrow and they added me on Skype today, I accepted but now its not coming up under my contacts.
