On a more positive note, I predict (based on a combination of hopeless optimism and weekly trends) both JS1 and JS2's by the end of the week.

Does this trend also include dings?supersonicfast wrote:I would be shocked if there isn't another wave of JS1s or JS2s on either Wednesday or Thursday which is a couple days before ASW, based on previous cycles.

updated reports were also sent out on Sunday, so most schools should have them by nowSplitMyPants wrote:Oh, for whatever reason I thought the schools didn't get them until a bit after applicants. I don't think so. Dings happen at any moment. JMO. I don't work in the admission's office.Trig wrote:Does this trend also include dings?supersonicfast wrote:I would be shocked if there isn't another wave of JS1s or JS2s on either Wednesday or Thursday which is a couple days before ASW, based on previous cycles.

Looking at the last couple weeks of LSN data points, it appears as though decisions have been going out on Thursday or Fridays (although there does not appear to be a pattern established with clear cut rejections, they seem to look at the applications and ding them fairly quickly) which, IMO, would make supersonicfast's prediction reasonable of JS1 and JS2 emails/phone calls going out later in the week.

180 * (JS)2 - 4.0 = 356
Posting on this page ensures admission. Hopefully this cracking of the code will awaken JS and invoke her blessing.

I certainly hope so - I don't think the Feb LSAT numbers should prevent that from happening. Maybe we'll see some smallish waves?

My guess is JS2s this Friday 3/7...OR... the next Friday 3/14, before spring break, and then another wave of JS2s on 3/28. So I am looking forward to at least two huge waves of JS2s this month. There will def be a wave before Spring Break, because the office is closed for a week in March. That's my weather report...Should be a fun month!

That they don't get scores until a bit after the applicants.

HLS Spring Break is March 15-23, 2014, so that's def possible, although I think I'd call it less "fun" and more "excruciating"supersonicfast wrote:My guess is JS2s this Friday 3/7...OR... the next Friday 3/14, before spring break, and then another wave of JS2s on 3/28. Oh, that's a really good point. And since different colleges are taking different weeks for their breaks, there's no reason they would avoid calling people during certain weeks either.NoDayButToday wrote:Just to add more anxiety to the mix: at my undergrad, the staff did not get spring break (fall break, winter break, summer vacation, etc.) off. They still had to work and had standard vacation-day situations like most people in the real world. So yes, they might be taking spring break and I wouldn't call and bother them during that time, but I also wouldn't be crazy surprised if they have to work.a.sleepyhead wrote:HLS Spring Break is March 15-23, 2014, so that's def possible, although I think I'd call it less "fun" and more "excruciating"supersonicfast wrote:My guess is JS2s this Friday 3/7...OR... the next Friday 3/14, before spring break, and then another wave of JS2s on 3/28. HAHVAHD!!
...checking in. Hail mary thrown. Why the hell not.
Sorry if in the last 355 pages about ten other people have creatively misspelled Harvard. I have respect for the institution. That is all.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Per LSN, it looks like anyone who 1) applied early in the cycle and 2) has 3.6/174 or higher was an auto-admit this year.
If this is accurate (and please, correct me if I'm missing something), if I'm a February complete with a >3.7 GPA and >175 LSAT who gets waitlisted/rejected this cycle, does this mean I should undoubtedly sit out the cycle if I'm dead set on HLS?
I guess what I'm saying is, if I get rejected this year, can that almost entirely be attributed to my late-cycle application? If so I'd apply again in September next year, but if not, I would really prefer not to wait another year only to strikeout again.
Thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated (as I'm sure there are others like me). Thanks and good luck to all!

Is everyone who's received an interview but has not received an offer automatically put on waitlist? is it possible to get rejected after interview?

I thought some people who had JS1s got dinged? So everyone who gets a JS1 but no JS2 isn't necessarily wait listed.barrelofmonkeys wrote:It is possible, and has happened already this cycle.esther0123 wrote:Is everyone who's received an interview but has not received an offer automatically put on waitlist? is it possible to get rejected after interview?
