I was expecting the first patch of js1 rolling out at the end of Oct.
Yeah, me too.
(Not that I'll be in that batch, of course)

Do the best apps go first? Or did you mean you haven't applied yet?

Last year it seemed like the first wave of interviews went to people with astronomical numbers. Almost all above lsat median except URMs.

Ahh I see. Safe to say I won't be in that batch either, then.

Checking in. I applied 9/18.
It's kind of a long shot, but you know... it's Harvard. It's always a long shot.
Good luck, everyone!

Hey All, I'm back. I ducked out for a while because I got nervous about lurking adcoms but i realized I was being silly, I had/have nothing to hide. Plus, TLS has been incredibly helpful to me, it would be wrong of me not to give back. I probably still won't be participating to the degree that I was before just because it was good to not be completely absorbed in these tangled threads but I am back.
I know I have virtually no shot at an early JS1 but I am still hoping on one. Still waiting since I went complete in Sept.

I definitely need to do that. I'm way too invested in getting into this particular school for the unlikely chance I have.

I feel loved.
End of November indeed. Nothing gives the nerves a good rattle like extended family wondering out loud why you haven't heard from any schools yet at Thanksgiving dinner.
PS: What I came here to say - good luck to everyone who took the LSAT last Saturday. I keep checking in, hoping for some JS1 excitement. Rooting for y'all!

Hadn't even thought of that. And in my excitement I made a bit too much of a fuss about my chances at top schools (it was warranted, had to fend off the grandparents looking at me like I was living in a fantasy world and telling me to go to the local TTT) . Ever since then I've been strategically downplaying my chances.

So much this. At this point I've raised expectations so high that I'll be a disappointment if I don't perform well lol
. People should not have badgered me so much about it lol

Just wait until someone asks, "So where do you want to go?" You say, "Harvard!" Them: "OK, where
realistically?"
Eff that guy.

Every time my parents ask where I want to go to law school I always tell them I am going to a TTT.

Good luck folks. Shout out to last year's cadre, this thread was legendary. It doesn't get real until after the new year.

My standard answer was my state school where I grew up (Maryland) or GW. Now I've adjusted a bit, and I say NYU or Cornell, sometimes with a qualifier of "well if I get in of course, I would be happy at a more local school too!!"
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
