I'm going to bet that this week they'll be reviewing applications that went complete after 3/15, and sending out JS1s and some dings next week.

haha I read on Y rejection email that I should be expecting a first class ticket to Law School hell any time now. SO I shall be closer to that end, soon enough.inimitabilis wrote:foreverhopful wrote:Apologies for the l8 response. I applied on 28/02, you? This is insane. I applied to Columbia too, and I haven't even had a complete from them.inimitabilis wrote:foreverhopful wrote:Well I think I just broke a record. Harvard just sent me an email that my application is NOW complete. I might as well wait till August to receive my rejection letter... Beginning of April for a complete application, is that even normal?
Congrats to all of the admitted.
Same here. I was technically complete on 03/31/2014 (per the status checker) but only received an email confirming it today at 9:58AM EDT.
When did you apply?
I think I've entered Law School purgatory.
I applied on the deadline in early March – still haven't heard from Columbia either and I had that in on the deadline as well.
Law school purgatory is better than law school hell

To everyone who applied late: I went complete 3/19 and was just waitlisted.

Dinged today. Complete 3/19 and applied on the deadline. 171/3.81, so at right about both 25ths. Decent softs, including a Ph.D. in the hard sciences with an interesting work history (6+ years), international research experience, and publication record. PM for more details on softs.
I have some terrific options, but I'm considering withdrawing applications until next cycle, when I can apply very early. Best of luck to all of you still waiting! I'm certain you will do great things!

Late posting, but was wait listed last week; complete 4/1. 171/3.8 with decent softs (humanities Ph.D, 1 year + 1 summer WE, fluency in 4 languages other than English).

If I'm waitlisted with Harvard, Columbia, NYU, and Chicago, is there any advantage in taking the June LSAT to bump up some points? Or will admissions definitely be closed by July?

I would expect some movement in July, so it might be worth. Certainly it won't hurt.

Especially if you decided to wait a cycle.HorseThief wrote:I would expect some movement in July, so it might be worth. Certainly it won't hurt.

I'd think they'd have the large majority of WL acceptances done by that time, but there could still be some to go and a higher score will make you more competitive.

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
No, I don't expect they would, especially with both of your first scores in the low 170s. But if both of those scores are close to each other (within a couple points), I'd probably think very carefully before taking again.papajohns wrote:Congrtulations to everyone who got in!
Just curious...has anyone here been accepted with 3 or more LSAT scores?
I have two scores already (low 170s). Was WL-ed and plan to take again. Obviously doing well the first or second time would be best. But do 3 or more scores really hurt you?
