My guess is next Monday. There's no interview slots available that day, and if memory serves, it was on days like that that batches of JS2s went out

Well last year they started JS2s on Tuesday November 19, but it very well could be Monday. We won't know until the day comes.

Those of you who are still waiting for JS1's: when did you go complete?

Obviously this is mine (and so many others') dream school.
Does an app even go UR at Harvard or is JS1 the very first step in getting through the process. What I'm wondering about is: has Harvard even begun to look at my app since I haven't received a JS1?

Since you have not received an invite to JS1 yet, they are likely still reviewing your application... or will be reviewing it shortly. When you get the invite, it will say that your review has been completed and the interview is the next step.fivestarfolds wrote:Obviously this is mine (and so many others') dream school.

I guess what I mean is: does your application status remain "complete" even while you are being "reviewed" at HLS? Is there a date change? Is there something to indicate that you are being reviewed other than the fact that you've gone complete?

A JS2 would be the perfect remedy for the funk I've found myself in recently. Maybe I should update my application with that statement.

*whew* I went complete on 11/10. I'm not sure if the multiple stages of the Harvard process cause me more anxiety or the knowledge that there will be nothing but complete silence from YLS.mirroroferised7 wrote:Complete 11/7pompoms wrote:Those of you who are still waiting for JS1's: when did you go complete?

Re: Harvard, C/O 2017, Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
I just recieved this e-mail from my friend who is a HLS 3L:
Looks like either he is mistaken or the timetable has changed dramatically from the last couple of years so I asked him and then he said this:Specs,
Just some information that you might find useful or stress-reducing. We met with a member of the the admissions office last week to go over some stuff and she mentioned that they have not sent out any offers of admission and will not start doing so until sometime in December. Thought you might appreciate the heads-up in case you were unaware of the timetable.
So, take it for what it is worth. Now that I think back, she might have mentioned late November as well, though the emphasis seemed to be December. It came up because I told her that I had heard by the end of October when I was applying under a different admissions staff and I was wondering if they had let people know yet. So your info on Thanksgiving might be accurate. Regardless, I just wanted to let you know that you shouldn't be looking for the letter yet.
