Had my JS1 today, with JS. People aren't kidding when they say she's a lovely person to interview with! If only I hadnt been so nervous out the gate... I produced one of the more boring answer to any question that I've ever heard. And it was about my own W/E...

Whenever I think like this, I wonder if I have a good enough reason. After all, if you can't make someone else who is pretty close to the situation understand, maybe its because your reason isn't sound enough. I dunno.Pau.C. wrote: This is what I'm thinking.
I just don't know how to tell my family and friends that even though I got into some great schools, I'm going to wait a year and try again. I feel like they won't understand.

My comment was more about last cycle, but in the past a significant part was the size of Harvard relative to other schools. More students = bigger network and hopefully wider set of views. More profs = more likely to find someone who likes exactly what you like. Recognition across different areas of the law that's unmatched = useful since you always hear stories of people who get to law school and end up loving something completely different than they thought they would.residentemma wrote:Well... what's your reason?selden wrote:Whenever I think like this, I wonder if I have a good enough reason. That's extremely similar to how I feel.chneyo wrote:Yeah, don't get me wrong. I'm not about to wait out a cycle if these bells don't come a-ringin'. I'll gladly be the first POTUS since Ford to have a degree from UMich. Buuuuuuut, if all the right bells ring, I'm at HLS, baby. All. The. Thanks . It would have been great if I could have stayed around Boston since all the family I have in the US and my SO are here, but some of us have to be rejected. Goodluck to everyone else!
