Re: UC Hastings c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
In via e-mail! I have yet to fill out Need Access (or FAFSA) although it's completion is required for considerations for need based AND merit based scholarships. I've been holding off until I file my taxes, which I would like to do ASAP, but am waiting on my W-2/other financial statements. Is this a bad idea?

I'm holding off until my taxes are done, too.
Maybe that's why I haven't been accepted yet.

I know that it doesn't have anything to do with their acceptance, from the sheer number of other posters accepted without complete FAFSA/Need Aid. I'm just going to be a sullenly angry misfit until I hear from them, one way or the other. My need for validation through law school acceptances is reaching a boiling point.

I'm a 3L. When I was a 1L I made a Hastings Students Taking Questions thread, so there is a lot of advice there. I am also happy to answer any questions you guys may have.Moonlight wrote:Thanks!! Does anyone know if Hastings offers travel reimbursements for admitted student days? I'm always looking for an excuse to visit the area and I'd love to be able to attend.

Hey all, also accepted this Tuesday. I'm waiting to fill out my NeedAccess until my taxes are filed (waiting on my W2) but was curious if anyone knew about how much merit-based aid Hastings typically gives out? I've heard from some that they're rather stingy but can I expect any aid as someone who is above both medians?

Does anyone know when Hastings typically start admitting off their waiting list?
