Pretty good.shakeitlikea wrote:checking in as well. heerrreee we goooooo
so I don't have it go lurking through ten million posts, can anybody tell me how what the outcome of a splitter (3.3/165) applying would be? I am applying early decision as Hastings is my top choice due to my mother being ill and having to stay very close to home.

Hastings is 30 minutes away from me... Its basically in my backyard. One of my dads good friends is hastings alum making good money as a partner at a firm in SF but was lr and whole deal back in the 80s. They really wanted me to apply here. I showed them law school transparency and the average debt load now. They instantly changed their mind and said no thx Jeff. Thank god for that site. Nonetheless, good luck to people applying here.

Why would you even consider going to this school? Serious question.

Re: UC Hastings c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Eh...it's worked out for me so far. It works out for about 60 people each class (w/ "works out" defined as biglaw or article III clerkship).californiauser wrote:Why would you even consider going to this school? Serious question.
Now, that's a low enough number to qualify as a "bad risk" for most people, but it's also not like only 1 person is getting biglaw per class.
I'm happy with my anticipated outcome, and in the future, others will likely have similar outcomes.

Just a reminder, folks, that these threads are not the place to debate whether the school is worth going to: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 7&t=146613.

I'm all for bashing HasTTTTings as you can confirm in my post history, but this is the wrong forum for that.californiauser wrote: Why would you even consider going to this school? Serious question.
To answer your question: As a backup, I do not think it's completely terrible if you're going for near free if your goals are realistic. That's not even saying I would go (even with a huge discount), but at least I'd have the option in front of me when I am deciding.
