How long did it take people to get a response after the file transferred to "Under Evaluation"?

\ManoftheHour wrote:Moonlight, I was waitlisted last cycle. Davis ended up accepting me and gave me a 25k/yr scholarship. It might be in your best interest to stay on the waitlist, even if you aren't attending. From what I've gathered, you're going to attend Hastings? Maybe that $$$ you get from Davis can help you negotiate with them for more $$$ especially near the end of the cycle when law schools are more desperate to keep their students from flocking elsewhere.
Wow that is a large sum for a waitlist admit. And yea for the moment I'm committing to Hastings (haven't deposited yet though). But yea I think I will take your advice on waitlisting with Davis. It could help out my Hastings situation. I'll have to run my LOCI drafts by you guys though to make sure I don't sound cynical lol

Has anyone heard about scholarships within the past couple weeks? I'm anxiously waiting.

Took them about 3-4 weeks after acceptance. Included a FAFSA, Need Access combo. Good luck!yeslekkkk wrote:Has anyone heard about scholarships within the past couple weeks? I'm anxiously waiting.

Just got a little USB Memory stick with some info about the school. Nothing besides the stick came with the package though .

Meh, got $7K in need-based grants, nothing in merit aid. Got in about three weeks ago; turned in my Need Access and FAFSA that same week.
Oh well. I'm probably out of the running on this one.

Is that their final offer though? If so, then that's super stingyAndiDail wrote:Meh, got $7K in need-based grants, nothing in merit aid. Got in about three weeks ago; turned in my Need Access and FAFSA that same week.

Did you need to turn in xyz for merit based aid? I was under the assumption that you only needed FAFSA Etc for need based aid. I haven't gotten anything and got in over a month ago, so I'm a bit surprised and wondering why that is.

I am. I applied in mid-January. Didn't go complete until mid-February. Something tells me they're waiting on more responses from the people to whom they've already admitted. Once they get an clearer idea of how many of the people they've admitted will actually choose to attend, then they'll start evaluating our apps since they'll have a better idea of how many more people they'll want to offer admission to meet their class target. Also, apparently they have evaluations that have been in progress for 3 months now, so I'm not expecting to hear anything until very late March maybe early April.underwear wrote:Anyone still sitting on "Application File Complete - Awaiting Evaluation"?
I just hope they let us know about our financial aid and grants at the same time they give us the admission decision. I've got deposits due in mid-April at other schools. If I am admitted to Davis, the aid they offer (or don't offer) will really impact my decision. I know that their graduate business school offers the Yellow Ribbon Program, but I don't know if King Hall offers the program. I suppose I should get in contact with their veterans group, and see if they have any advice.

Oh. -insert expletive here-. -1 for me for failing at RC when I got my Davis package. I am ultimately planning on withdrawing, though. I think I'm meant to stay on the east coast.yeslekkkk wrote:and you have to turn in NEED ACCESS. DO ITmes10d wrote:Did you need to turn in xyz for merit based aid? To those planning on attending, enjoy Davis! And to those riding out the WL, good luck!

I didn't mean to imply that I know what's going on. It's just a guess. I really just wanted to provide the dates I applied and went complete. I wanted to share my updates, since I've been reading all of yours in order to estimate the wait. Sharing timelines might help us, as well as future students, better estimate when they might hear.wecanpicklethat wrote:this helps understand whats going on! thanks!Sheriff McLaw Dog wrote:I am. I suppose I'm starting to get a bit anxious on this one, especially considering every other school I've applied to has given me their admission decision more than a week ago.

Wait listed via status checker ... :/
Davis isn't too high on my list so I don't think I'm going to add myself to the wait list.

Still waiting but not likely seriously considering unless they give out $$$

Honestly I'm surprised at how generous Davis is. I'm only a 3.3/167 and they're offering me $90k in merit aid.

Just got in via email! I'm on my phone, so I wasn't able to open up the downloadable file. Would scholarship info be in there, or does that come later with the physical letter? The email just had basic info explaining to do the need access form (which I've already done) and whatnot.

The downloadable file is just the acceptance letter. I'm still waiting on scholarship info, and it's been a month and 10 days since I've been accepted. They should offer me some. If not, I'm definitely not going there.dobie1 wrote:Just got in via email! I'm on my phone, so I wasn't able to open up the downloadable file. So today marks 4 months... let me repeat, I went complete FOUR MONTHS AGO!!
Although I keep reminding myself that 'no news' is better than 'bad news', I am getting pretty impatient! How's a girl supposed to make an informed decision when she doesn't know her options yet!?
