Purp or not purp?

Best way to not be a gunner?

How can you tell if you've become a gunner?

Would you rather be gunner and top 5% or not gunner and top 25%?

1. wtf is purp

2. Remember you're in class to learn, not to impress your classmates. Remember that the professor is much smarter than you are. Ask relevant questions, answer when called upon, otherwise stfu

3. People will start avoiding you

4. Gunner with top 5%. Because non-gunner-swag doesn't repay loans

Purple trees

You do realize I keep asking you questions, primarily so I can get my 2500 post count already?

Why is my work so slow today?

Since you just finished up 1L, maybe something relevant for those here attending WUSTL if you care to share: how available were 1L SAs for you/what are you doing over the summer?

1L SA's were available for St. Louis/Kansas City firms. If you have good grades you will get screeners and callbacks, but probably won't get offer unless you have ties or diversity. 1L SA's are usually pipe dreams from any school though.

Answered what i was doing this summer earlier

I submit my questions to u:

1. most hated classmate
2. dumbest classmate
3. most hated school
4. where do you think you're transferring to
5. how long is your penis
1. Everyone who got a higher grade than me in Con Law
2. The one who thought minimum contact analysis only applied to corporations after taking an entire semester of Civ Pro
3. Vanderbilt. Because all the Vandy kids in my class can't stop circle jerking about it and because there is only one "Harvard of the South" and it's not Vanderbilt
4. I decline to answer
5. Depends on my GPA that semester

Shouldn't you have counted as diverse for hiring purposes?

What is love?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

Would you rather fight a bear with shark arms or a shark with bear arms?

1. It is when your SO listens to you bitch about an obscure topic of Property law for an hour without punching you in the face. Or when Anna Donovan reads your aspie TLS posts and doesn't rescind your scholarship

2. Depends on how many licks you can fit in during a legal research lecture

3. Aren't shark arms just fins? Bear with shark arms. Would rather face a land creature. More likely there will be other meat shields people around to distract it

Does an SA (or any summer work) start immediately once school is out or do you have a week or two off before diving in?

I wouldn't know because I struck out at 1L OCI

But my friends who are at 2L SA's right now had 2-3 weeks to unwind/relocate before starting. Start-dates will depend on the firm though.

ETA: just saw that you included "any summer work." Most of my friends started the week before Memorial Day, so 2 weeks-ish after our last final. I didn't start until after the holiday weekend since most of the attorneys in my office were on vacation

Don't know yet. There supposed to email us a day or two before to let us know what's going on.

2. how much would you cry if nobody flirted with you

1. Recent studies suggest that a wood chuck's chucking of wood remains unaffected by fluctuations in tuition.

2. A lot, but secretly.

3. 9

1. LOL @ any school only increasing tuition by 3%
2. No one flirting with a WashU law student? Clearly you haven't used Tinder in St. Louis brother.
3. Depends. If you're at SLU college bar, then 7. If you're at our weekly bar review, 10.

Are you happy to see Cuse and Georgetown renewing their bball rivalry?

How much of a frat star were you at Cuse?

Would you be better at the Price is Right, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, or Who's Line?

interpreted it to mean 0 is "not basic" and everything higher is just different gradations of "is basic"
