I take it they only offer that to certain applicants, or do they send them out in waves?

Are you already admitted?

I got one and I'm one of the admits who was told I wasn't receiving funding for the first scholarshipround like 4 days after being admitted. I think its waves.

If you are a splitter, they will ask about what made you a splitter.

I think it depends on who interviews you. I'm a super splitter and they didn't ask me about it (granted, I wrote an addendum). All they asked me was "Why Law?" And we talked about it for 10-15 minutes.

I'm also a splitter and I didn't get any questions about it. We talked for maybe five minutes before she told me they were going to accept me, and then I got the email the next day. I'm sure it depends on the interviewer, but it was super chill.

Yes. We talked more about the weather than anything in my 25 min. interview (way longer than what's being reported, but mine was in person. Maybe 5 minutes weather, 5 minutes STL, 5 minute traditional interview, and 10 minutes of my questions about the school).

I'm a super splitter (well, my GPA is really low at least--not sure what LSAT counts as super). I was only asked why WUSTL. And about my W/E.

Admitted the afternoon of the interview.

Mine wasn't very long I think it was around 15 minutes. She didn't really have any ?'s for me except for a few of the basics, it was pretty much her trying to sell me on WUSTL for the most part.

For those interviewed:

What were some of the questions you prepared/asked?

Just curious.

Mine just asked: "why do you want to go to law school?"

That was it.

Let me clarify.

Some of the questions that you (the interviewee) asked the interviewer?

How long did it typically take for you guys to get a decision and/or interview request after this?

I applied 11/30, interview request on 1/2, interviewed last friday, received decision a few hours later.

I asked about entrepreneurial activities/opportunities for law students.

Materials received 12/17, complete right after new year (I think 1/3), interview request 1/8, interview & accepted 1/10.

Mainly questions about placement, OCI, and clinics. Started with info from the website and filled in the gaps. (ie, number who can do the DC Administrative clinic per semester? existing relationship with firms for externship program?, etc.

You and I seem to be applying to a lot of the same schools. My LSN profile is in my profile here, feel free to check it out. I keep it updated with everything.

Some of the questions that you (the interviewee) asked the interviewer?

I'm interested in immigration law, and WUSTL's main immlaw professors just got back from a two year stint as lead counsel for USCIS, so I asked about him and the classes that he taught and it made a big impression on my interviewer. I can't remember if she told me that she was admitting me before or after I asked that question, but she said she thought about him as soon as I mentioned my immlaw interest/experience, and had put him down as the faculty member to contact me. So if there's an area of law your interested in, you should see if WUSTL has any cool professors that specialize in it.

I'll read through the whole thread but I just got invited to interview! Super excited! WUSTL seems like such a dream school. Anyone have any advice? What questions did they ask you? I'll probably do a phone interview, if that matters.

Edit: Ugh, I feel like such a borderline candidate with a 3.5 and a 163. I'm super nervous...

I'm sure you're not a borderline candidate. Grades and scores are only half the story. I'm sure you'll be great. GOOD LUCK!

Did everyone else get the name of the person they were interviewing with before their interview?
