Well this changes everything. (Not really, but good to know)

This is a dirty lie, and you're a bad person for it.

Well, maybe not, but we do have some good riding around here. The River Road on the IL side is pretty amazing to ride up during Spring/Summer. Plus, you can see eagles 'n shit.

ETA: We don't have a helmet law in IL, either. The one thing we care about liberty for is head injuries.

Yeah, I was thinking about bringing mine down as well, just not sure if it's worth the trip if the weather is going to turn a month after I get down, how long into the fall does it usually stay warm in STL?

ETA: Should I look at historic weather trends? Nope, I want anecdata.

I meant riding in the city with traffic and what not. For instance, how would riding to and from school be? I can only speculate, as I've never lived in St. Louis. You also have to look at what I'm used to and where I'm coming from (much different than Stl).

I live a little under two hours east of Stl, and my bike is only in storage from November-early March (there are a few nice days in there that I break it out).

Good to know, doesn't sound too bad. I used to live near the bluffs in the northern Mississippi and riding around there was amazing. Don't know what the southern (middle?) Mississippi is like but if it's anything comparable it'd be worth it.

It's nice to know there are other students at WUSTL that like to ride. At Michigan's ASW, a group of admits I spoke with acted as though they didn't even realize motorcycles were real things.

Oh. Pardon my rash outburst.

Traffic is surprisingly minimal in the city. You'll sit occasionally, but it's nothing compared to driving in a real city.

I would be wary of Missouri drivers, though. They're awful and will probably murder you with their cars.

Awesome, this makes me a little more optimistic. Whenever I was in for asw, it seemed doable, but I wasn't sure.

Wait - maybe I'm not sure what you mean by near the law school parking.

Ideally I want a car, not so I can get a parking pass and drive to school (because I would like to live in walking distance), but for the "personal" stuff. Wondering if most apartments come with parking or if a lot of places are street parking or pay extra for parking.

Be my neighbor. You don't really have a choice.

I personally love tornadoes, always warm weather, really cool cloud formations, and great storms.

The first time I heard them (back in undergrad), I had no idea what they were and proceeded to walk out onto my 13th floor balcony to try to figure out what was going on. Turns out that isn't what you do when they go off.

Yea me neither. And obviously I was exaggerating, but not by as much as I wish I was.

They SAY it isn't like that every year, tho. We will see.

In all seriousness though, this year was probably the worst winter I've ever experienced in this area.

I sent in a scholarship increase request in April of 2012. I'm currently a 2L and am still waiting to hear back.

Is the Quadrangle housing pricing a good representation of rent near campus? Or are there decent apartments that are cheaper? Also, when are people starting apartment hunting? I have no clue when is too early/too late.

Has anyone had success negotiating yet?
