I will also be there, and I am hoping for a similar level of ballyhoo as the previous ASW.

I got my scholarship bumped up today as well (from 5,000 a year to 20,000 a year), but I was wondering if this makes them more likely or less likely to negotiate up. I was planning on contacting them in a couple weeks since I have bigger scholarships at comparable schools and since they're my first choice. Does the increase signify they're interested and would potentially be willing to go higher/match other offers, or does it imply that they've already given me more and would be unlikely to give more? I'd appreciate any knowledge on this subject that anyone has.

Honestly I think no one has any clue since this is the first time things have moved up this cycle.

I withdrew from the University of Washington today. Now Washington University is the only Washington in my mix. I just felt that it cleared things up, linguistically.

lol Georgetown, George Washington, Washington & Lee, Washington University, University of Washington - too much overlap imo.

How long ago did you submit a negotiation email? And did they respond back to you in any way before they bumped your scholarship up? Congrats by the way!!

It's now been over a month since I interviewed and no word on a decision. Should I be emailing them? I just don't want to come off as pushy or impatient.

Yeah I would e-mail/call them. It's been a month, I think they will understand as long as you are polite about it. The admissions people here are as nice as any school I have dealt with. Good luck.

That's probably explains the delay

your LSAT/softs/WE are what's keeping you on the table despite your GPA. In my opinion you're going to be admitted lol, so i wouldn't worry about that. But it looks like the adcomm is just waiting to see how the numbers shake out before they admit you. As students commit and withdraw they'll get a better sense of what the class stats will look like.

So again, don't worry, i'm pretty sure you'll get in. But admittedly the anxiety that comes with waiting is a mofo lol

Thanks for the support. As deposit deadlines grow closer, the anxiety increases!

Oh, sorry for the confusion. I haven't emailed them yet (my other offers have come in over the last few weeks), but I was planning on emailing to try to negotiate soon. My basic question is, does this increase make them more or less likely to further increase it after I talk to them, or will it likely have no effect on that?

I'm pretty much in the exact same boat as you. My offer was upped yesterday, but not enough that I can turn down other much bigger offers. Not really sure what the best course of action is at this point.

Which schools gave you these much bigger offers?
