Are any 0L's attending this weekend's ASW interested in meeting some of the TLS 1Ls? If there's sufficient interest then we'll put together some informal bar outing so u guys can meet us and ask us any questions you might have

I'd assume we'd all be interested.

It'll be your first life lesson for law school. The most valuable/accurate information doesn't come from dean's and faculty during official events, but from drunk older students in dimly-lit bars. 99% of why I survived Property was because I talked to the right 2L at the right time during a bar review.
Is there a preference for Friday night or Saturday night?

That'd be awesome. Thanks for the offer! I can go Thursday or Friday, but not Saturday unfortunately.

Yea I don't think Saturday would work for most of us, I for one will be gone by then.

I'll try and get a group together for Friday...i'm going to assume you guys will prefer the Loop unless everyone is staying in central west end or something

Thanks again, Cuse. If your spring break is starting Friday it might be hard to get people together for this, but maybe you can (LS kids might stay in town more often I guess). Either way we appreciate the effort!
For those of us attending Thursday night stuff already, we could probably meet up after at that week's bar review location and chat. If that's not too pretentious of us

I'm flying back home Saturday afternoon but count me in for a Friday night get together. The Loop sounds good to me. I also wouldn't mind hanging out with those attending Thursday night if others are interested as well.

I'm always down for inside info. Are you guys planning on showing up to the ASD activities?

Unfortunately i'll be too busy nursing my post-bar review hangover. Joking, kinda. But official events like ASD are excellent opportunities for 0L's, and you should all go. But from our perspective (or at least mine) meeting with 0L's is only valuable if i can be as candid as you guys need me to be. I can't necessarily do that when the entire admissions committee + several dean's are watching me interact with you guys. This isn't to imply that the information you'll get at ASD events will be useless or anything, it'll still be useful to a degree. But I found that the information that I heard at these events often raised a ton of smaller questions more than they provided satisfactory answers.
Q: How do you well on exams?
A: Study hard, practice applying the law, and outline.
Well...how do you study? How do you practice? How do you outline?
Meeting us in an informal environment is a great way to have those more detailed questions answered.

Oh, I'm going alright. ASW's are my one chance to get my butt kissed by law schools before one of them controls me for the next three years.

I don't blame you, though, and I am more than happy to go out after the official events. I was planning to hang out with the rest of the TLS crowd after anyway, so we might as well learn something at the same time. I was just wondering if we'd see you guys before hand or not.
I'm going to need solid info on how to be the most impressive gunner in the room. Kthanx.

WUSTL had to make the third tier reality blog if t14 schools have. I put a link in but it wasn't working.

I think it's reasonable to go ahead and send it as soon as possible. And then periodically (every 3-6 weeks) through the coming months, stay in touch with updates and continued interest.
Good luck!

Late to the party here, but would definitely be interested in meeting some current 1Ls and picking their brains.
Thanks for the offer!
