Like $200 I think? Someone who has gotten the email more recently than I have should be able to c/d.
That's good enough for me. I'll double check that. Should be some info on the website I suppose.

$200 if you're over 150 miles away, confirmed for the 2013-14 cycle.

I am. Where do I request it? Just email them? NDLS has theirs on the website. I can't find it anywhere on WUSTL's website...

You turn in your receipts into their office along with a form you pick up on the day of your visit. But I would email them just in case, I'd hate to have the stipend only be offered to a certain portion of people and leave anyone reading my summary of the info $200 poorer (there are actually schools who give out stipends to certain but not all accepted students).

I remember from the FB group that some dude on there said it was offered to certain students. So yea, I'd email them. I plan on asking as well.

Someone asked
I emailed and they mentioned : At this time we are unable to offer travel funding. Does this mean they don't fund or it will happen later?
and replied
Some admits are offered travel stipends along with their admissions. They prioritize those stipends first. If you express your interest in visiting later in the cycle and that you need the stipend, they'll most likely give it to you.

Reminds of this time in high school when over the P.A., our principal announced that "University of Penn State" was visiting in the library. The UPenn rep. promptly left.

Congrats, kid

First, congrats to all the new admits. Hopefully I'll meet some of you at the March ASW.

The admissions office will email you if they deem you eligible to get the travel stipend. I'm not sure what the requirements are, but I'm less than 150 miles away so I don't know why I got the email.

I'd wait a little while after admission to see if you get the email before calling to see if you're eligible.

Again, congrats to the admits and good luck to the waiters.

Edit: Forgot to mention the stipend goes up to $200, and it's reimbursement after receipts are submitted.

"The Admissions Committee is impressed with your application and would like to invite you to complete an interview with one of our Admissions staff."

Is this the standard way they request an interview? Or do they normally say something different?
