I'll be living in a tiny studio at the Monticello...does this mean I get the most advice/help!?cusenation wrote:None of you should live at Monticello. Because I want to rent a one bedroom or studio there. And i need them to have units available at least until late June.
Actually, none of you should live alone or start looking for one bedrooms until at least July 15th. All of you should live in two bedrooms

Bought my plane tickets for housing day, flying in on the 18th afternoon and flying out on the 21st around the same time. Just bought a bunch of Ghirardelli I'll be bringing along for my tls brethren / to thank admissions for putting up with me. Sadly the huge assorted weren't on their crazy sale so its just a ton of the smaller bags that were.
Nj I'm totally down for a cardinals game on the 19th, think they're playing the mets that night. I figure I'll just buy the seats together once we find out who's in and you can all get me a hot dog.
Did anyone get a place just south of wustl last year? My buddy will be checking that out while I hunt in ucity / the loop, we're looking for a 2 bedroom although if there's a solid 3 bedroom we could grab a roommate.
I'm going to be flying in on the 18th morning, landing around noon or so. I'm definitely in for the Cards game and I've heard a couple others say they'd be interested as well so that sounds like it should be fun. What hotel are you staying at?

Maybe its because I'm used to LA, but when you st louisans say stuff is "far", I just don't get it. I've got a renovated 1bedroom in the south of forest park area for super cheap. It'll take like 20 minutes tops to ride a bike 2 miles to school. tbf I also have a car for social uses, so if I was car-less, maybe I'd be more inclined to live closer to the action. But still, free metro passes for wustl students.

You're probably confusing transplant St. Louis people with natives. I'm at the other end of the spectrum. When I go to a real city, I drastically underestimate commute time requirements. 10 miles? Sure, be there in 15 minutes. An hour later, still stuck in traffic...georgej wrote:Maybe its because I'm used to LA, but when you st louisans say stuff is "far", I just don't get it. Logged onto facebook for the first time in a while, after dealing with my disorientation from apparently searching on bing (Ugggh) via the search bar I requested to join the current accepted group. My facebook-fu wasn't good enough to find the TLS group, if someone who is in it could pm me and link that would be sweet.
Anyone going to the WUSTL city connect on friday in San Francisco? Also anyone else who's interested in seeing a cardinals game on the 19th lemme know.
Stay strong peaches, may the doge be with you

Was admitted to GW back in late January, I believe. I just finally made the decision to stick with GW.chizzy wrote:Congrats! Obligatory post to rid myself of the mark of the beast over there on the left. Too freaky.
Somewhat on topic:
Any of you planning on goin to a Cards game this summer or around when school starts, I hope you're more used to soccer scores than basketball because we couldn't harm a fly with our current "hitting". Or lack thereof.
So many shut outs...

Same dawg. Pro baseball is such a long season that significant slumps are always a reality. But now I'm starting to wonder if last year was the exception rather than the rule, in terms of this team's offensive potential. Hopefully I'm wrong.LET'S GET IT wrote:I'm not worried yet, but I'm starting to get concerned.Fiero85 wrote:Obligatory post to rid myself of the mark of the beast over there on the left. Too freaky.
