who did you interview with? I also had my interview yesterday, but haven't heard anything yet. hoping this isn't a bad sign...
Interview was with Karlla Dozier who works in the CSO. Only lasted about 15 minutes and I wasn't sure it went well but got the acceptance e-mail a couple hours later. She was very nice by the way.

What time was your interview?

Thanks! I wouldn't assume the worst. Mine was in the morning, maybe they just didn't have time to get yours out yesterday. From what I have read on this thread they have been sending out a batch of decisions every Friday so maybe you will hear next Friday. Good luck!

I didn't even notice my acceptance until the next day trying to print off tickets. It was sent mid-Friday so I'm sure you will here back in some form next week.

Question for you stellar applicants: what's the deal with the WUSTL website app? Is that legit? I was planning on submitting this week, but I'm not sure if that's the way to go?

1L here. Seems legit. I didn't mess with it because it is easier to have the LSAC do all the work, but if you haven't gotten a fee waiver (yet?) no reason not to do it. I never heard any complaints about it, and IIRC they waive the app fee if you apply through them.
Precisely what I noticed. Thanks duder. Will give it an attempt.

I ended up submitting through LSAC but asked them to give me a fee waiver code. Just easier to keep everything together that way. (ie references and transcripts)

Can anyone comment on how well WUSTL places into the non St. Louis/Chicago Midwestern markets? I'm most interested in the Twin Cities and Sioux Falls (I have solid ties in both), along with Omaha, Kansas City, and Des Moines.

Edit: also interested in St. Louis and Chicago, but it seems like they place pretty well in both?

In St. Louis is depends on the firm. Some smaller places may see you as a flight risk because Wash U has more reach than say, SLU. I have heard of SLU grads getting positions by virtue of their JD being less mobile. I doubt this happens often, but a SLU grad will tell you it does :).

You'll find less love in Chicago just because they have so many schools there already, two of them T14. Again, I can't give you exact numbers for placements.

For your northern Midwest cities, U Minn might be a better option seeing as it's similarly ranked and closer to the market.

It sounds like I'm being negative now that I read this again, but really I'm just basically restating that Wash U is somewhat in the middle. Nationally recognized, but not T14 status.

I gotcha. I realize that the respective state schools will probably give me a better shot at their home markets (especially Minnesota). I like the idea of moving back to my roots in the Midwest/upper Midwest, but I'd don't necessarily want to be locked into any particular city or state. That's one of the many reasons WUSTL appeals to me!

Do grads get any love in KC? Or is it taken up by UMKC, Kasas, Missouri, etc?

It sounds like from the areas you want to end up in that univ or Iowa may be worth considering. They place well in Des Moines, twin cities, Omaha, KC, and place about 10% in Chicago as well. Definatley not trying to talk you out of washu, in my humble opinion it's one of the top 2 or 3 non T14 schools, but geographically it sounds like uminn or univ of Iowa may be a good fit for you. Besides STL and Chicago, I think washu places best in NYC and DC but there are people that know more about this than I do.

Not sure how washu places in KC but if those schools are the competition, they probably do ok. Maybe someone can speak to that. Good luck!

Had my interview. It was a lot shorter than I thought but went well. The interviewer told me decisions come on Friday but that I'm admitted! Woo

I'm wondering if anyone who has interviewed has been denied.

When did you go complete/under review? I submitted 12/23 and my status is still "application documents received.'

If you read through this thread yes, I have seen a couple denials after interviews and also a couple waitlists after interviews. Overwhelmingly though, (I would guess 85-90% in this thread) have been accepted if they get an interview request.

+1 for accuracy. Interview does not equal acceptance but it's probably good.

We do well in KC. Odds are usually better for kids that have ties though. But that goes for most of the smaller midwestern markets, including St. Louis.

I submitted the same day (12/23) but I am still at the "application documents received" status. I know they were waiting for my December LSAT though.

All's quiet on the local front. I imagine anything they mailed to me would arrive next day.

BUT biggest snowfall of my life this past weekend and more last night, so delays are likely.

Good luck! Bastille is a chill group btw, nice pick. Also, if your username is an Ed Sheeran reference, you get a double-win gold star :) . Great live performer.

Bastille is unreal, they're playing SNL in a couple of weeks! And YES, first person to catch it so far. I saw him at MSG and am comfortable saying it is the best concert I ever have been to or will go to. Thanks for the luck!
