To make things worse, I have plans to watch Michigan's NCAA Tournament game with multiple michigan UG alums. Not where I want to be right now as I try to contain my bitterness.

Go, but cheer for Tennessee and try to piss the people around you off.

Waitlisted as well - found out while at Duke's Admit Day, ironically.

Also WL. Hurt feelings abound.
LSAT = 50, GPA > 75, Why Mich.
Reading this thread has made me feel better - some seriously high-quality applicants are in the same boat. I knew applying late was a risk, but the early/late difference is REALLY STARK ITT. There must be good yield-related reasons why it happens this way, but it always strikes me as inefficient when ppl who help medians are left in the cold because they applied in December or January. There has to be a smarter system?

Damn. I feel very fortunate to have been accepted. Lots of people with better numbers getting waitlisted who applied at about the same time.

Good going, anyway. Also, I chuckle whenever I see your name, bc it reminds me of Ned Yost (a terrible baseball manager)

Waitlisted late last night. Ah well, at least they got back to me quicker than Penn (and I applied to Penn two months before Michigan).

just withdrew from waitlist. Kind of miffed they would WL a current student above both 75ths, but at least it makes our elite 8 loss eaiser to handle. Good luck everyone else!

waitlisted, quite surprised tbh, all my numbers were solidly above the medians and i've pulled both acceptances and scholarships from significantly higher ranked schools...anyway, will withdraw asap to make some room for yall who have your hearts set on it

Not a good day for the BIG. On Wisconsin, I guess.
(also, I'm still shocked at the unrepentant WLing of baller candidates ITT)

I am confused because my date changes every single day including weekends. I have been complete for awhile now so does this mean someone has actually been handling my application every single day or does the computer just do it automatically?

I'm guessing a computer auto-updates it, because the updates happen very early each morning. The adcomms probably enter any changes into a database the computer reads and everyone else's status is "updated" to stay the same as it was the day before.

Okay that's what I was thinking but then some people were saying that they were stuck at certain dates so I thought I would ask people's theories on what is actually happening
