Saw that October scores just came out, so as a Michigan 1L, I figured I'd drop in to say (1) good luck! (2) you'll enjoy this process more if you spend less time checking TLS/your status checker and more time doing anything else and (3)if you have any questions about Michigan/Ann Arbor not already answered in the "Taking Questions" thread, feel free to PM me.

Hoping for the best. 3.4/170, so I'm by no means a lock, but UM is at the top of my list.

Also: Can I solicit a fee waiver? On UM's website it says only financial need based waivers... DA HECK

Just set up a visit for next week! I'm really excited to see the school and I'll try to take some good pics to add to the thread. Now I just need to finish my PS and send in my app by Friday, and then I can enjoy the wait with all of you.

Finally got my status checker email, submitted 2 weeks ago yesterday (10/15).

Went through last cycles thread: looks a bunch of decisions came out Tuesday, November 6 (Lots of UM undergrads and summer starts, but not all. Also most submitted on the first day) and then more came out the following Tuesday. Didn't continue reading after that.

Edit: Also, it seems like the law school held an event for the UM undergrads the night before decisions started coming out to drum up interest in the school. They gave out some acceptances there. Does anyone know if there is a similar event scheduled at UM in the next few weeks? That might give us a good date to start expecting decisions.

FWIW: I'm pretty sure the event they had last year was on November 5th, and it was a Double Wolverine panel ("We really do admit Michigan UGs, so apply and come here!"). They threw the same thing this year back on September 23rd. That's not to say that there won't be another one (if I hear about it, I will certainly post), but I figured I would share what I know.

Think it really depends on your PS. The Optional Essays can help make up for a weaker PS.... i think that is what i have heard generally.

Congrats! Since you're already in, would you mind posting your stats/any relevant info? Also, did you receive an email or just see it on the status checker?

Hopefully this means a good number of decisions will start coming through this week.
