Got my status checker within a week of submitting!

Checking in. I applied earlier this month but haven't been following this thread that much yet.

Question, do you guys think it would be appropriate to send a why Michigan after already turning in my app? I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing it now. Or perhaps I should save it for a LOCI in case I get waitlisted? TIA

Other people have sent one in after the fact, and it's seemed to work out for them Do it.

Really? I visited the school two summers back and really loved it so I'd have something to write about. I just don't want to seem pesky sending stuff after the app is already in.

So, longtime lurker, first time poster here. Been having a pretty good cycle so far. However, something interesting happened today, I got a call from an Ann Arbor number, wasn't there to pick up phone. Caller didn't leave a voice mail decided to call the number back and lo and behold the number was the generic University of Michigan outgoing phone line. Outside of living in the state of Michigan and my application to the law school, I dont have any other affiliation with the university. Applied and went complete in December, numbers above both medians. Status checker says I'm still complete and being considered for reg decision. So, tbh I am not quite sure what to make of this. I'm hoping it means something, but I'm probably going to attribute it to fluke or coincidence, but wanted to get some opinions especially given that UMich is absolutely one of my top 3 schools.

While I hope it's good news for you, I haven't heard of anyone getting a call unsolicited from admissions, and I've been following this thread pretty closely.

When did you submit? Maybe they're missing something w/ your app, have a question, etc. Are you complete?

I just got my status checker yesterday and it was at the 21st. I logged on this morning and it was back to the 20th. Glad to hear others had the same problem, I was starting to think I had checked the "Benjamin Button Decision" box.

Instead of denying us they are "un-doing" our application

Berkeley's having similar troubles. Any thoughts on what this actually means? Or are we desperately trying to assign meaning like English majors near term paper time?

Maybe that's why it's taking forever, the status checkers are moving backwards. Pretty soon we'll be back to "Incomplete"
