Ugh, I've been sitting in complete silence for over a month three months. Still waiting on interview.

Mine said complete and that shouldn't have been too long ago. I actually don't know when they go complete, but I sent my apps 12/08.

Complete 12/18. Radio Silence.

I was complete on 12/8 and so far not a peep.

I don't know why UVA is so slow. Seriously, it's not like they have a good yield rate so they have to admit a lot of people. I don't know why they insist on drawing out the process.

Hi All,
I am currently waiting to hear back from Cordel Faulk on an interview time. What is the interview like with him? My GPA is above 75% but my LSAT is a smidge below their median. Do they give interviews to everyone or only people they are looking to admit? I'm excited and nervous and all that jazz... :O

So, I interviewed 18 days ago. I thought it went really well. Jason Dugas and I talked about Charlottesville and a bunch about the public interest program. He said I should hear back by the end of that week. I'm assuming this means a likely ding or w/l, but I'm wondering if I should contact him/admissions to ask. Any thoughts?

Wait until mid-week next week, then send a thank you email to JD and say something along the lines of "I hope to hear from you soon," or "I look forward to hearing from you," etc.

I was so worried, but I just got my acceptance! I got a great email opening with apologies about lateness and ending with a pile of professors and alums from my undergrad to get in touch with. So pumped!

This thread is filled with that information. To summarize though: No set questions, maybe one or two standard job interview questions, be ready to discuss Why UVA, but in general you should expect a relaxed and relatively informal conversation rather than a formal interview.

Cordel is great, super nice, and super easy to have a conversation with. I did not interview with him, but I had a number of conversations with him throughout the process.

And they would not waste their time interviewing people they were not seriously considering, so be proud and rock that interview!
