UVA's status checker only has a "complete and under review," which is essentially just a complete and they won't update it again.
Thanks for clearing that up. I saw that earlier today, and just got another email from them (automated i assume), so I was confused. I should not be allowed access to any sort of status checker, I'm too anxious, lol.

 Join the club. Luckily this semester is a light load for me. I've been on TLS and refreshing status checkers entirely too much.

Until you've been accepted. Then, the acceptance message will stay there until you submit your seat deposit.

Is there a "complete and under review" or just "complete"? I've been "complete" since 12/3...

It's the wording they use. So you're right. They don't explicitly state that it's currently under review. But it will not change from this until after a decision. Technically it is stated as: "so it is now COMPLETE and will move into the review stage," which is what I was referring to.

Ok thanks! I was worried there was yet another waiting stage ahead of me.

When is it time to start panicking about UVA's silence? Is there an average time between "complete" and an interview request?

Nope. Some lucky people have a ridiculously short wait (I think I've seen some with just a week or two)

Others of us go for months with no news. It has no reflection on your chances.

Good to know, thanks! I'm so jealous of the lucky people.

Hey y'all. I applied ED last Monday, 1/21. I am a second year Teach For America Mississippi Corps, and I just received an offer to interview. I did not write a Why UVA letter, I only have a 3.4 GPA and a 169 LSAT. Would they be interviewing me for the waitlist? Or, does anyone think that this could be key to an acceptance? Best of luck to everyone in their cycle.

I doubt they would be interviewing with the idea they are going to put you on the waitlist. With your LSAT right at the median and your GPA being a little low, if they wanted to waitlist they would have done it without interviewing I believe. So, I think as long as you do well on the interview, you have a good shot. Good luck! Keep us posted.

I have been wait-listed since September... I sent in a LOCI w/ diversity statement earlier this month. Does anyone have any insight on when individuals generally begin getting offers off of the wait-list? I know UVA says May, but does it happen before May, too?

Congrats to all who have been accepted thus far, I hope to see you all in Charlottesville!

I haven't. I went complete around the 9th.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
