That is awesome! The thing is, some of us have taken the LSAT three times alreadysl5uw13 wrote:For what it's worth, I was waitlisted January 2013, last year, and that was sad. I was below both medians. However, I retook June (3rd try) and got a 173. I emailed Uva in July with my new score and within hours I was offered admission and a scholarship. So a waitlist isn't a death knell.

Good to know. I should have retaken December. Maybe Februarysl5uw13 wrote:For what it's worth, I was waitlisted January 2013, last year, and that was sad. I was below both medians. Good to hear other people applied mid-November and haven't heard anything - I'm in the same boat.

Re: UVA c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I'm pretty sure UVA has lost my application at this point. Been complete since September and heard nothing.
I'm in YP territory, so I fully expected to get wait listed once others started getting emails particularly because my app was not at all UVA-centric. Surprisingly, I didn't get one. Anyone else in the same boat?

RD.
Median LSAT, no GPA (international student)
Kind of a reach and I don't know how friendly they are towards international students, but thought I should try. Also did the "Why UVA" essay.

Has everyone who is RD and gotten in, been interviewed? Aka is the interview a prerequisite to admission like it is for Harvard.

What is everyone's experience with the interview? Questions asked? Also, never used Skype so would prefer phone interview. Does preferring a phone interview over Skype reflect poorly as an applicant?
Thanks in advance!!!!

If you can do skype, I would. Test it out with some friends first, maybe, but it feels much more personal and if you can follow their preferences, it seems like a good idea.dempsey6 wrote:What is everyone's experience with the interview? I'm sure some people will message you with their offbeat questions, but mine was very conversational, and focused a lot on my WE. It was obvious he had read my resume/essays very very closely, so be prepared for that. I also had 5-6 questions prepared and as I was NOT asked Why UVA (despite hearing that's what everyone is asked) felt like that was my space to express why I am interested in UVA. So definitely have questions prepared! Overall, though, it was pretty easy as far as interviews go.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
