I don't think so. I was asked to call, had a brief interview, and was called back two days later with an offer of admission. I think it all depends on the interviewer.

got the wait-list email yesterday..

Does anyone know if UVA is too generous with letting people get on the wait-list? I haven't heard of too many dings..and how many people are typically let in off the wait-list?

So I submitted mid to late November and I have heard nothing since. I am at or above both 75ths. I don't even know how to feel about this situation.
