Say the famous lines from Taken. Or something.

But really, send a Why Cornell. I think I read something in the thread here about a Cornell representative saying they welcome that sort of thing even though it's not explicitly encouraged on their website (or is it?).

Have not gotten a decision yet. Hoping for acceptance. But the quote below was interesting to me:
ConnD wrote:
MnM22 wrote:Just got reserved. Really upset because Median LSAT and GPA>75% 2 years WE and URM...

Cornell was a top choice for me. Does anyone know what the odds of getting off are? Or if this is more of a WL than a ding?
got this from the website:
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DECISION OF RESERVE AND THE SUMMER WAITLIST?
At Cornell Law, if we have given you a decision of reserve, it means that we have reviewed your application, but we have not reached a final decision of admit or deny on your application. We will review your application at least one more time before reaching a final decision.

You may submit additional information to support your application as you are waiting for the final decision. Typically, applicants submit additional grades, new honors or promotions or an additional letter of recommendation.

In early summer, we review all the applicants still on hold and create a summer waitlist.
Am I the only one who feels like this is not a terrible place to be in? Assuming they decide to accept you before their yield numbers come in (opposite of what happens for traditional waitlists), this is not bad at all. Don't lose hope!

Traditionally, that's not what happens. Just look at the first post in this thread. Reserve people will likely be waiting until May/June.

The "summer waitlist" they allude to sees little movement, considering they didn't make it until July 25th last year.

Interesting. If that's the case, then the assumption I mentioned does not hold and Reserve sounds like Waitlisted.

EDIT: But still keep hoping guys!

This is crazy. I am sorry to hear about all the reserves and waitlists. I am still in the running but with a lower LSAT than many of you. Has to be YP for most of you guys.

I'm almost identical to this minus the decision part. What makes you recommend the why Cornell essay?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
