How were you notified of this? My interview is today, and I haven't received an email or anything... but I haven't received a contact request from them via skype either... and my interview is in... 5 minutes?

This won't affect you, I think, because Spring break starts on Saturday and ends on Monday, April 7.

But but but…does this mean that the we'll-let-you-know-within-a-week refrain doesn't hold?

Correct. We're still here today.

Just ask them at the end of the interview.

Do they not offer scholarships during spring break? If so, it seems reasonable to think they'll send a lot out beforehand.

I'm not even sure if admissions takes off for spring break. It could be that they cancelled the interviews because they planned to have the current students do those interviews, and the students won't be here. If the entire admissions office took off, I'd imagine they'd have that in their calendar and not schedule interviews then, whereas it's not unusual for them to be unfamiliar with the students' schedules.

Thanks. If true, that allows more time for offers.

There's a financial aid form you have to fill out (even for merit aid) on their website, offers should come after that.

How soon after? I filled that out 2 weeks ago.

Has anyone been dinged yet? I submitted 12/10 and I'm still UR1 1/23. Honestly waiting for it at this point.

Trying to decide if I should write a LOCI to Cornell. Submitted 1/21, UR1 2/24, UR2 3/26, no interview request. Above/at both 75ths. I wrote what I thought was a nice "Why Cornell" (the 3 sentence thing on the application itself). Is this kind of activity normal, or am I WL/ding-bound?
I'm really interested in Cornell, but have been W/Led at some random places including YP-happy GULC (but in at NYU, Columbia, Mich, and Duke)... anyone care to share their input? (PM is fine)

I'm in almost the exact same predicament with the timing, except that I'm not above both 75ths. They asked for my most recent transcripts, and they took forever to arrive, and the status checker went complete 3/26.

I suppose that's either a good or a bad thing for you, lol. Either we're on the same boat and we're all about to get WL/Dinged like you guessed or they're looking at all the remaining apps, where my numbers make your app much better :P

So has anyone gotten news from Cornell this week? I was one of the people whose interview was scheduled over their spring break, and I chose not to reschedule it (will be out of the country soon). They told me I'd have an answer in the next few days, and that was on Monday...

So Cornell just kicked off their spring break - spring recess? OH MY GOD I thought it was last week because I had nothing from last week...

It took me three months from the time I submitted my app to receive an interview invite, so I wouldn't about your date changes yet. It looks like you went complete, and then "UR" on 3/26, so expect more status updates soon.

Reserve as well.

Any stats on how it went for people on reserve last year? The email said that I was placed on a "several-hundred-person reserve group".

No clue, but if I had to guess, it's probably mostly waitlists, with a few acceptances and dings thrown in.

I'm sorry, is there a difference between reserve and WL? Which is better?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
