Added to OP. Thanks for monitoring.RetakeFrenzy wrote:More info on ED is also up on Cornell's FAQ Page
Since the Early Action description was removed, I'm going to assume they're discontinuing it.

Strongly considering ED to Cornell on November 1. Just worried about the money. My scores won't net me anything at a T-14 and my best reasonable shot at T-10 is Penn or Michigan. We'll see.

If I click "Start Application" to open it up (just to see what it looks like), will I automatically be charged the application fee? Or is that only charged once I click submit? I'd expect to get a waiver from Cornell, so I don't want to jump the gun, so to speak, and pay $80 when I don't have to.Lavitz wrote:Application is now available on LSAC.

No, you won't be charged until you complete the app and submit it.

I wish they did an ED, full-ride type deal.

Also, apologies because this has probably been asked, but with respect to the following, does this include being "written up" by campus security back in freshman year for drinking in dorms? No further disciplinary action became of it:
1. Have you ever been the subject of disciplinary proceedings or been warned; placed on probation; dropped; expelled; or been asked or advised or permitted to withdraw; or been suspended for academic, nonacademic, or any other reasons by any of the colleges, universities, graduate schools, or professional schools you have attended, or are any such proceedings pending? (If yes, please submit an explanatory statement. Also, if yes, you are required to submit a completed Dean's Certification Form from the institution where the infraction occurred or is pending.)

Lol. Was waiting for this. Yes, they do this every year and I have no idea why. Yet the "Interest in Cornell" section is optional.Humbert Humbert wrote:1. Please provide the names of individuals who particularly influenced your decision to apply to Cornell Law School.required
Umm?
You can just put "N/A" if nobody ever influenced you to apply to Cornell. It's really not going to matter.
I was a gunner about it and listed a professor's name, explicitly said that I had never met him, but that his work in the field of X coincided with my interest in XYZ. Looking back, I think that was completely unnecessary though.

How are you guys able to access Cornell's app already? Through LSAC? I applied last year, and it looks like it's giving me problems now.

Question: If I start filling out a Regular Decision application, does this mean I cannot fill out a ED application if I choose to do so later?

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I believe this is correct, so wait until you're sure before starting one. This means if you're waiting for October LSAT scores to decide, you would have to wait until they come out. This may also mean that you wouldn't be able to apply RD and then switch to ED round 2.0913djp wrote:Question: If I start filling out a Regular Decision application, does this mean I cannot fill out a ED application if I choose to do so later?
I would call or e-mail admissions if you want to be sure. I would do it myself but I'm not an applicant, so that would be weird.
