I think it's more of a YP thing. I wrote a pretty detailed Why Cornell statement so that may explain it.

Had my interview with Cornell today. Don't remember all the questions, but was asked:

-why did you choose your undergrad school?
-why did you choose your major?
-what was your favourite part about undergrad outside of academics
-why Cornell

I sent my app into Cornell on 1/16. I can log into the status checker but they do not seem to have received virtually any materials (no red check marks in boxes). Does it take Cornell longer than other schools to update this? Every other school I applied to has already put me in review or at least marked my application as complete.

Lol, yes. Cornell is the slowest of the T14. Have fun waiting until late Feb

I submitted 1/4 and I'm still verifying (seems to be the norm). I've come to terms with the fact that I won't be hearing a decision until the end of March/beginning of April.

Also just got an interview request by email. I can't make an in-person, hoping doing it over Skype actually doesn't hurt my chances.
