as someone who applied RD, do i have any shot of hearing back before the new year? i ask this because NYU released my RD decision before some ED people and i was wondering if columbia traditionally does the same (releases some RD with the ED)

I don't think any RD applicants will be hearing back until mid January going by last years cycle. And if the pace of other schools is any indication, it could be even slower this cycle.turtles wrote:as someone who applied RD, do i have any shot of hearing back before the new year? i ask this because NYU released my RD decision before some ED people and i was wondering if columbia traditionally does the same (releases some RD with the ED)

Still, this thread is doing much better than Chicago's, which is surprising given they have interviews and all

Those 5 ED admits, seemingly months ago, really got us all going. I don't think Chicago has accepted anyone. That's really what ignites a threadHowl wrote:LOL "tootle each other's horns"abdistotle wrote:Sadly it is all dependent on Columbia makin some moves... I'm not optimistic. So that's a good sign at least.goldgirl786 wrote:One can hope....................Robert_Bert wrote:Maybe there will be some movement today on the ED side...really grasping for any sign here.lawschool22 wrote:Nice.midwest17 wrote:Just went complete! So Columbia does snail mail decisions, right, but they call EDers?
Does anything happen with the status checker after complete, or should I just stop looking at it now?

They send Eders an email with a pdf attachment--no calls. Once your status is complete on the site, it never changes, even after a decision has been rendered.midwest17 wrote:So Columbia does snail mail decisions, right, but they call EDers?

I may have overlooked but looking at last year's thread, the next batch of ED decisions should be rendered by next Friday I believe...so this was a fail of a week. Here's to another week! Woohooo! <--sarcasm.
