Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Got the email twenty minutes ago, I'm IN!!! Kinda took some of the suspense out of it since it said "Admit" in the subject line...
Application submitted 1/30
Went complete 3/19
No interview
GPA between 3.4-3.5
LSAT above 75 percentile.
Does anyone know how asking for travel stipends works? I'm thinking that if NYU gives me half and Columbia give me half I'll actually be able to go to ASW lol. Wishful thinking though, I know.
Good luck to the rest of you waiting/on hold/reserve! I'm hoping Columbia comes to its senses and admits you all.

Thanks guys! Yup, Columbia was my top "realistic" choice. Actually, even if by some miracle I got into Harvard I'd still be really torn. I really do have my heart set on going to law school in NYC <3

I sent mine in a few days after being held (I was held back in that first big hold wave).

I'm guessing a big acceptance wave might come next week before ASW?

would do quite literally ANYTHING to go to Columbia and waiting for a decision which will probably turn out to be a ding or a waitlist is doing terrible things to my mind. my cycle has gone so well overall but i would trade it all for a columbia admit...

when should held people start to expect decisions? Is there a precedent from last cycle?

For science, a friend of line just was accepted via email. 172, ~3.8.
Hopefully this means we will start hearing this week, especially for us people in the purgatory known as "held"

Decided not to write a LOCI (after being held last week) and will be withdrawing today. Good luck to all the holds and all those still waiting!
